[So, now seems as good a time as any (or a better time than most) to remind people that there are other options. They've been called to fight, to kill and die, but they would not be the first to cast off the endless war of the greater courts. Such progenitors scatter through the land, it seems, old and entrenched in society but with shards of their own all the same, and ties to the Kings and Queens that only become clear when pulled. (Confusingly enough, the native peoples have even adopted one such shard-bearing defector as their anti-shard-bearer mascot. Jon has long since abandoned the exhaustive habit of questioning the logic of anything in this land of fairies.)

Still, this is his first time addressing the Network at large (intentionally, let us not speak of any accidental star-theft related visions) despite being around for just over half a year, now. It's... oddly unnerving, but he puts great pains into keeping his expression stony. Indeed, he presents the locket with a very serious, rather dour look that gives the impression he'd be a huge stick in the mud, and then he clears his throat.]

If there are any who do not wish to take part in this war - who cannot fight, or who will not, the Cothromach takes no part and would house you for however long you might think it necessary. [Straightforward and to the point. Jon's not great at rousing speeches, really, he just says what he has to say.] Other places have been offered, and they are good as well, held by good people. [Sup Mally!] Only know that you have options. [You know, in case those wacky Queens are telling you to take up arms against your literal brother or something crazy like that.]

[Jon nods politely, and waits.]

[There is a bit of stumbling when Muscovy gets up -his legs and the whole body are stiffer than he expected any of it to be-, and he slides the locket into his pocket to have both hands to himself.

If Jon stays around, he'll hear him run around the camp for a bit before he finds Maglor and finally hands his locket over to the elf.]

[ Muscovy goes straight to Maglor, who, once he ascertains that his fosterling is well, answers Jon ]

Good meeting, sir. Muscovy said you wished to speak to us about... ah, a place to stay? [ Jon might recognise the bard who has been teaching Sansa the harp ]

And you, my lord. He said that you had some quarrel with a queen, and I offered Cothromach as sanctuary. [How happy he'll be to follow though, though, depends largely on:] Which queen, if it please you to say?

[ A shake of his head ]

No lord I, sir - Maglor will do. [ A small wry smile ] I believe the answer there would be 'both', in honesty. I care little for either Queen, although I confess a rather pointed hatred of Solais, and only a grumbling dislike of Morla.

[Jon very nearly sighs. It's not the answer he'd hoped for.] The Cothromach is not part of this war, but it is still an ally to the Seelie, and to its Queen. What guarantee do I have that you won't use its proximity to act upon your hatred?

[ Maglor would be sorry but he's long past that point. Still. Jon asks honestly and an honest answer he will get ]

None, save only this. I will not willfully endanger those under my care by acting on a hatred I can do nothing about as yet. Nor will I intentionally destroy the hard work of the Lady Keeper in maintaining her home. But if you wish me to swear that I will not act against the Seelie and its Queen, who has done me such wrong, then I must thank you for your offer sir, and decline.

[Yeah, nope. Solais had made it very clear that any hostile act by the Unseelie shard-bearers invited to Cothromach would be punished, but it would not be the doer receiving punishment. It would be their Keeper. Jon has great pity for their situation, but no pity in the world is enough to make him choose some stranger's useless grudge over potential harm coming to his little sister, who has suffered much more than enough already.]

Then I wish you luck, and hope that you find someplace safe, for the sake of those you seek to protect while here.

[ A shrug ]

There are no safe places for the Feanorionnath. Not in our world, and not here. My brother and I are long used to such things. I worry only for my little one. But ware the Queen, who speaks with a forked tongue.

[ He tips his head at Jon ]

She has threatened you already, I think. But no one ever listens to the mad kinslayer, even when he is right. [ He shrugs again ] Your lady sister is a fine Keeper. The dwarves like her, and she plays well. She is fortunate, to have such kin as you.

[Jon does not think her wrong, exactly. Her threat was infinitely kinder than punishment for the crime of simply asking, which is what one learns to expect from lords and kings in Westeros. And a queen is right to do all she can to protect her own people above others.]

If danger ever comes for you... is he a Seelie shardbearer? [He said he was the opposite court of his family, so...]

We think he is - he remembers being chased by fairies. Will you look after him for me? I have asked my cousin to guard him as well, so he will have a place in the Elvenking's halls, at need, and you can send him there. But... it would be good to know there are places he can go.

I would not take him from you if you are yet safe, but know that there is a fairy ring in Cothromach that only the Seelie can use. Send him through to that if you find yourselves beset, and we will see him safe.

[ A soft fond laugh ]

Even if you did, he would not go. I will remember. At need, I can bring him myself - I do not need a Fairy Ring to travel - but if it comes to that, like as not I will go straight to my cousin or her daughter.

Your lady sister has been good to me, and you have offered sanctuary to my young one. I have little enough to offer in return, although if your sister wishes to continue her lessons, I am glad to teach her - but if you need aid in getting from one place to another, I can go to most places, now, and you need but ask.
