Hello?

[The video feed is pitch black with Jude's face barely visible on it, mainly, because it's the middle of the night and Jude had the unfortunate luck to arrive outside of Caer Glaem, several miles away in the meadows surrounding the stronghold. The explanation he'd gotten from the fairies was brief at best, confusing at worst, and he's already walking towards the nearest looking settlement-- the castle.]

Am I using this correctly....? It's too dark to see much...

[Jude's lucky he has good reflexes-- he trips and the video feed jolts, but he quickly corrects himself with a small noise of surprise, grip tightening on the locket in his palm. He speaks again after wrapping the chain attached to the locket around his wrist, frowning a little.]

...Could anyone explain where I am? I think I see a castle in the distance, but it's so dark out I can't read the map they gave me.

Well...that depends on which castle it is! I hear there's a number of them.

It works...! [He actually sounds mildly fascinated as he peers at the tiny image of the redhead in the locket, his expression openly curious for several moments. Was it some sort of spirit arte....?

It takes him a few seconds to realize he should probably stop wondering about the device and answer the man.]

Uh... hi there. [The video feed swivels after a moment, showing what looked to be Caer Glaem in the distance.] That's where I'm headed right now.

Heh, yeah, it does. Hi to you too.

[He'd laugh about a kid being excited by the locket- but honestly it was weird to him too when he got it]

And..that'd be Caer Glaem! The Seelie's stronghold.

[When Slyphjays were the only long distance communication option Reize Maxia had, something like this was pretty amazing. ~~at least for now.~~]

Really? I think I'm supposed to be going there, so that's fortunate.

[Why he ended up in the middle of nowhere was beyond him, though.]

[Yeah this is also new to him]

Why? What business you got there?

Are there any fairies nearby? They'll usually give you a bit of light.

I was told to go to the Seelie court by.... [Actually he's not really sure who or what they were, only that he might have annoyed them with all his questions, given he was promptly ditched mid-explanation after too many of them.] the ones who gave me this.

There's no one nearby right now, as far as I can see. [Which wasn't very far, admittedly. He could see the vague outline of the castle in the far distance and the surrounding areas nearby, but no one living.]

[first he will hear a yelping sound out of the dark, and then a bump and then the sound of something (a lot of somethings...) falling over and clattering all over the place. Then an ouch, 'aw man...', but then pounding feet before the video flickers on and the display is FULL OF LEIA'S FACE]

Jude!? Oh wow, is that you?

Yeah?

[Well, he sounded new or confused enough. Still...]

You mean the Imps?

[Yes, this is a trick]

[Jude winces a bit at the noises, but the voice is what catches his attention. He'd know that voice anywhere, afterall, and by the time the video flicks on there's a surprised smile on his face.

Typical Leia.]

Leia? You're here too?

They kind of... left, before I could ask much. [Sheepishly said.]

They looked like little people with wings, if that helps.

Yeah! [her replies are a bit odd and stilted, going back and forth between really slow and really fast. She just can't believe it's him, but is also so excited that it's him!]

Well, not exactly where you are... Where the heck are you? [she shoves her face even closer to the display]

That'd be the fairies then. [Okay, not the most fail spy maybe]

Talk about bad luck though, most new arrivals get brought to a feast.

[That smile grows a bit wry at her excitement in spite of the odd situation, his grib shifting on the locket as he does.] Somewhere near Caer Glaem, according to someone else. But where are you? [He can't really see much identifiable in the background what with Leia's face jammed against the screen. Not that he'd actually recognize anything here anyway.]

[Jude would be a very poor spy indeed.]

A feast? Really?

[Well that was just his luck...] They did seem a bit annoyed when I asked questions....

[ korra's quiet for a moment, considering this. she's learned from mako to keep an eye on other conversations going on, so — ]

What are your surroundings like? If you want someone to help you find your way, I can grab Naga.

In the castle! I thought everyone was supposed to come here... Geez, I'll have to chew out some fairies for just dumping you in the forest.

[without waiting to hear more from him, she puts down the locket, so now you have a great view of the ceiling Jude, I'm so sorry. But at least he can probably hear her talking as she shoves her boots on]

Although, now that I think about it, were you asking them tons of questions? Juuuuuuude...

A lot of plains and a forest behind me. There's a castle in the distance... Caer Glaem, according to someone else.

[He shifts, twisting the locket around to once again give a rather dark look of the area around him.]

[Yeeeeep, right on the mark Leia. For his part Jude crosses his arms a little, looking slightly put out by the assessment.]

What was I supposed to do? They just dropped me here!

[...okay, he can't help but be kind of amused by that, even if he manages to push most of it out of his expression for the sake of politeness.]

Perhaps you ought to try and make it to the castle and see where you're at in the morning? Then again, that may not be the wisest idea, depending on whether it's where you're supposed to be or not...

That's part of why I asked. [He had been heading in the direction of the castle anyway, but knowing he wouldn't get barred from entry was pretty helpful.]

I wouldn't want to walk into someplace I'm not welcome, but I need to go somewhere.

Yeah. A pretty nice one too.

[He lets out a "ha" sound]

Maybe you pissed them off.

[ Get a load of this guy, everyone. Who goes traveling without any source of light in the middle of the night? ]

Yes, that would be awkward at best and possibly lethal at worst. I really had no idea you could just get dumped in the middle of the woods instead of in the general vicinity of where you're supposed to be, though. That's... really rather unfortunate. You were at least told where to go, I hope?
