It's a shame what happened at Maupertius, and I am still unsure how to move ahead from it. But for those who wondered, I am both safe and have left the area.

[To which she pauses, an air of something grave in her tone.] I've been asked to sit in place for my liege lord. The idea isn't foreign to me, my own father is a lord back home. [The Neck isn't taken that seriously by anyone outside of it though.]

I seek information for any that have acquired land here. I understand the war, perhaps more now that I have seen what it can do up close, but I ask to know more of what is happening for the people here. I'd wish to do well by them. [In Westeros her people seem to be the more 'out there' type, however they also have more answers to what is going on. Here though, Meera struggles constantly with what to do.]

May I ask if you're inquiring after the residents of the world at large, or after your particular seat of power?

I ask because the question is a tricky one. Depending on where one is, the war is going to have a different impact on moral, economics, and politics. It's easy to view say, the destruction that occurred at Redgate, and say that the war has cost them many lives and harmed their economy, but that's not going to be true for everywhere.

True enough, although there's some ways to head the tension off before it comes to pass. The courts have been asking seemingly neutral territory lately to declare alliances. If you're already aligned, then there's slightly less reason to be concerned with that type of event.

Have you spoken to the people you're looking after?

Find good people to advise too, even if your own power is temporary. They should not only ease you into the job, but be able to provide more concrete information than me blabbering on about massive hypothetical with no idea of the territory in question or access to a few books.

No, but if you want to talk about that too, I'll listen.

If you hadn't already been on your way when you asked me about it, I would have asked you not to go. Reynard the Fox... everything I've heard hasn't exactly been positive.

I haven't heard of any prisoners being taken to Caer Scima, if that helps at all.

If I hear anything, I can let you know.

If that's the case, whoever they are should be easily found.

I spoke to Lancelot. Have you heard from any of the others?

[And he does mean 'any', from either side.]

Hindsight tends to give you a more complete vision.

If that's the case, perhaps plan for the longest possible term, and then modify accordingly?
