Gendry was relieved when they were left alone. Through the exchange, he had watched with a keen interest. It had become clear that Susan, in spite of her ragged appearance, was no stranger to dealing with people of this sort. Whilst Gendry had no issue handling people like this either, he did so gruffly and with insult. She had dealt with the servant just as swiftly, but without insult. There was perhaps something to this method, though he had no keen interest in learning it.
