[ Frankly Thorin's relieved he came this way. Maybe Kíli could have fended for himself were this situation any different, but he still seems to be recovering, and the group of imps had been just about big enough to pose a real threat.

When Kíli pulls away he lets his hand rest on the back of his neck for a while still, a smile gracing his features at the words. So bitter had been their last conversation, he cannot deny it brings him joy to at least see his younger nephew more open and not as abrasive as before. ]


There is nothing to thank me for. [ He moves his hand to cup the injured cheek, his thumb touching lightly the muscle around the scratch. Hardly anything too deep or serious, yet it is an attempt to mend fences that he adds. ] Let's find somewhere to clean your wounds.
