[The image first shared is a view from a window high on a mountain looking down into the valley below, where a few of the dwarven metal beasts everyone had been warned about are clawing at the mountain face as if in an attempt to climb it. This part of the pass is mostly earth and stone, only a few hardy shrubs around to catch flame, but occasionally the view shifts just enough to catch a glimpse of the foothills and orchards further out, all burning and thick with smoke. The sound is distant but loud even still, metal on metal and metal on stone, the thundering of massive beasts and the crackling of flames. All around their feet are littered great broken chunks of red stone -- what had once been the infamous gates for which Redgate was named.
A smooth voice chimes in, familiar to anyone who's been around a while or who's made their way out to visit Redgate at some point. Redgate's lord sounds remarkably at ease despite the scene below, his voice cool and steady.]
I should hope that you've all heard about this situation by now, thanks to the efforts of those brave souls who went to investigate and spread word of what was to come. Obviously, it's come.
[Y'know, just in case you couldn't tell that by the sight of the damn things alone. The shot lingers a few moments longer on the metal beasts trying to fight gravity and scale the mountainside, and then turns to face Redgate's young lord instead, seated in a nondescript meeting room -- clearly chosen for the vantage point and nothing else.
His face betrays a tension his voice hadn't, a stiffness in his jaw and a determinedly neutral expression suggesting unease to anyone familiar with his more typical affable manner. He frowns thoughtfully, but for a moment more the scene is silent but for the far-off sounds of the dwarven beasts. And then he breaks his silence with a sigh.]
I'm not sure whether to call this a warning or a request for aid. They'll be after shardbearers, so perhaps it'd be better for you all to stay away. But if you think you have any chance of dealing with them -- or at least, surviving them long enough to lead them away from the people living here -- then please, I'd welcome the help.
[There's a particularly loud crash from outside, and Saralegui's golden eyes dart back to the window for a moment, his frown deepening.]
...Otherwise, be ready. Most of them kept on heading west. The rest of you out there will surely be seeing them soon enough.
((OOC: This PSA is broadcast on the general locket network as well as the alternate devices Saralegui has access to: Alyosha's network, and private lines to Dorian and Loras.))
