[ When Eggsy starts up the video broadcast, he's standing in an outdoor area of the Station, in front of one of its restaurants. He'd come close to his place during his scouting mission last month, but he hadn't had time to investigate back then. It sounds like they've got some hell coming their way, but there's not much they can do before those mechanical creations appear except for prepare.

Right now, he's planning to kill two birds with one stone. ]

So what's with this place? It's like a tiny slice of home.

[ Despite the modern surroundings, Eggsy's puca is milling around in the background, a dark and nasty creature that he somehow managed to tame -- sort of. ]

Are we allowed to stay here? Then again, might not be the best idea. There's been some earthquakes... I think.

[ They don't get them in London, so he's not that familiar with what they feel like, but still. The ground shaking for a few seconds without any warning... what else could it be?

He draws a hand over his mouth as he runs through his mental list of what else he wanted to ask. ]

Oh, also. Battle's comin' up, I need a teacher for sword fighting and magic and archery. I know there's loads of different kinds of magic, but if you wanna tell me what you specialize in, it might help me figure out where to start.

[ This whole thing is kind of awkward, talking to no one and everyone at the same time, so he finishes off abruptly. ]

[ Once he's done with that, Eggsy pockets his locket and starts to explore the rest of the Station, so he's primed to run into anyone who might call it home -- or anyone who's there for a visit. ]

Aw, look at you, all grown up and looking to learn. [That cocky lilt to his voice is unmistakable.] I hope you're ready to crack a few eggs in figuring out magic.

[He can't help himself.]

So, my hard boiled friend, what kind of magic did you want to learn?

[ Wow. Jason hadn't been kidding about the egg puns. It's so over the top that it isn't even that insulting anymore. Really, Eggsy is more impressed with his persistence.

He raises an eyebrow at it, but moves on soon enough. ]

I only know about a few. Grell showed me what she could do, walking on air and that kinda shit, and Clarke lent me some items that she enchanted when I went scouting.

[ Both useful in their own ways, but he can't learn everything. ]

Guess I just wanna know what else is out there.

A lot.

How good of a liar are you?

[It's a pretty easy follow-up question. Jason is not like Loki with illusions (no one really can be), but he's a fair hand in it, so it's where he begins.]

It's kind of my job now.

[ Eggsy pauses and rephrases. There's really no point in being secretive about it, not here. ]

Least it was, back home. Here I guess I'm more of a soldier type.

[ Because that's what's required. But if lying can come in handy, he wants to hear about it, and he tilts his head in interest as he awaits where Jason is going with this. ]

I hear they have rooms there, if you wish to stay.

[Jack never really cared for the place. Maybe it was just too close to a tiny slice of home.]

Did you find anyone from your world?

Getting kidnapped by fairies reminds you of home?

[Don't get him wrong, his own place is all kinds of fucked up, but fairies aren't his deal...]

Not to go all gung-ho Unseelie—[says Jason, the guy who goes around calling himself the child of their queen]—but our whole motto is "Riddles in the Dark." Pretty much gives way to lying.

[There's a pause.]

So, it's one and the same. Nothing about you has changed just because you're here, just how you go about it.

[Have an amused looking Aussie.]

This place is the Station. It's the closest thing to home I've got around here, that's for sure. I guess it all depends on where you come from if it's familiar or not.

And yes, you can stay here if you can afford a place to stay. Even if you don't, you can get drunk at a proper bar and take a hot shower when you sober up.

[A little slice of home, indeed.]

I'm not entirely bad at sword fighting, but Fernando's probably better. My... advantages aren't exactly teachable -- unless you feel like losing your shard and becoming undead. Loads of perks.

You hear? You mean you haven't been here yourself?

[ Eggsy can't understand why someone wouldn't want to give the Station a look, at least if they came from a world anything like his. Maybe Jack doesn't, or maybe home isn't the sort of place he wants to remember.

Jack does remember their last conversation, brief though it had been, and Eggsy shakes his head. ]

No luck there. Or maybe it is luck. Guess there's still a chance they're on the other side.

What? No. First of all, it was the imps who kidnapped me. Second of all, I was talking about this place.

[ Eggsy jerks his thumb over his shoulder to indicate the surroundings behind him.

It then occurs to him that this guy might just be giving him a hard time, but... too late. ]

[ That's not an accent that's easily confused with anything else. Someone else from Earth, then -- or at least a version of it. It's time for Eggsy to find out how similar their worlds are to each other. ]

Think I still got some pay left over from when I went scouting... [ Which is something he mutters mainly to himself, gaze shifting downward.

Still, the promise of getting drunk and taking a shower draws his head up again as he looks at the stranger transmitting through his locket. ]

Sounds like Heaven, honestly. How much does it cost to stay here?

Are you that surprised?

[ Eggsy's almost tempted to be offended by that. He can take care of himself, even if he doesn't have the skills yet to fight like some age-old knight. He'll get there. ]

Who the fuck's Hernando? And look, I told you before, ain't really interested in the vampire thing.

[ He doesn't look upset to see Damon, though. He'd been helpful during their first conversation and he's easy to talk to, probably because he's from a modern world -- even if he is a vampire. ]

[ A catchphrase is all well and good, but when there are metal monstrosities on the horizon, it seems like a soldier would be more needed than a spy. Then again, if Jason sees it another way, then Eggsy's willing to listen. He'd rather put his skills to the best possible use, if he can. ]

So there's some kind of magic that revolves around lying?

[ He assumes that's why Jason had asked, but maybe he's missing something here. ]

Hah, so you got a puca, too?

[ There's a flicking back tail in the background of her locket-video, though her own puca can't be seen. The rest of her background is neatly trimmed green grass, and the hand that Ange isn't using to hold her locket is definitely holding a good old fashioned Earth-style lacrosse stick. ]

[ He catches her interest for two reasons: his accent could almost be a bastardized version of her own, and the puca in the background. They are dangerous beasts, and none who aren't worthy may ride them. ]

I use no magic and know little of its subtleties, but a puca is a formidable friend indeed. [ She smiles, curious. ] Does he resist your commands still, or does he now largely obey?

[ Her own backdrop is one of the mountains, and a layer of heat refraction shimmers at the edges. It doesn't seem to trouble her, nor does the vast dark shadow that passes from some height overhead, swallowing her for a moment. ]

[Dante furrows his brows a bit, even narrows his eyes. Talk about sensitive...]

Imps, whatever. You should probably get a stiff, cold drink for that hurt of yours.

( with Clarke having a satellite office at the Station for all her Midach business, it means the Station isn't all that uncommon of a place for her to be found when things aren't too hectic. she's in said office when Eggsy's broadcast is made, and it's a rather familiar sight; enough that Clarke decides a break is in order, and wandering until she finds him seems like a decent enough idea.

a to-go cup in each hand, she holds one out to him once she approaches, an offering. )

I see you made it back successfully from scouting.

Depends on how nice a place you want, but I wouldn't call it cheap.

[This place does have all the amenities.]

I'll tell you what, though. Since you're new around here, the drinks are on me. You are old enough to drink, aren't you?

Illusions. Of course, you won't be able to do much with them, but I can throw in some beginning ice magic. It sounds like you're gonna need it. [Hiro's entry into the "all of our lives fucking suck" was probably seen by all. Well, Jason hopes. He recalls Chloe's ignorance about the Cult months ago, and acted as if her ignorance was as traumatic as what happened to Ariadne.]

These days? Who knows?

[The war was getting louder, angrier, like a milling beast that was taking on a life of its own. Casualties were more noticeable than they'd once been.]

Fernando. He's one of mine and he's more than proficient with sword work. If you want to learn, he can teach you -- the human way, since you're so against the fun parts of life.

[He didn't actually expect anyone to take him up on his offers, but he still made them. One day, he might get surprised.]

You know, my offer didn't expire on you.

[she doesn't think he forgot, but it doesn't hurt to drop in a reminder.]

I don't know as much shit about magic as I wish I did, but offer for archery still stands.

I'll even include sword fighting because we hung out and we're practically nearly pals.
