[It had been since the return of the Monarchs since any had seen the face of the one on the lockets, heard the voice of the General, but here she was in full armor, silver crown upon her head, and a regal blue and white cloak upon her shoulders. The backdrop of one of her banners - blue with a white dragon upon it - would be seen behind her. For those more familiar with her, there was a bit more color in her hair than before she had fallen asleep, but it was still too pale to those that knew Saber before the corruption had seeped into her. And for those that knew Saber well, they may notice that she actually looked rested for once.]

Allow me to offer my apologies to you all for my absence. I see that it has come at great cost to the Unseelie. I will not dwell upon what may have been had I not fallen to the unnatural slumber I had been in, but shall look to the future. Much has changed since May, and though it gladdens my heart that our great Monarchs stand tall and that our Seelie enemies have lost one of their pillars, there is much that must still be done. The Void grows ever closer, our enemies bolder, and the gods stir.

I will be visiting all Spires and major settlements over the next week. There is much that I need to see and many to speak with. Captains, Lieutenants, I expect status reports immediately. Barons, I will be seeing you all soon. Anyone else that wishes to speak with me will find that I will make time for them.

For those of you recently arrived, welcome to Allaidh Darach. I am Saber - the General of the Unseelie forces. If you need purpose, you need a place in this war you have been unfairly brought into, I will find you one. Time is no longer a luxury we can afford.

[OOC EDIT: ICly on 6/25, a messenger finally catches up to Saber to inform her that Balor(NPC) was appointed general while Saber was asleep and she now reports to him. I do. I was an Entitled, one of the sovereigns of the universe. My kind dealt not in kingdoms and cities but in entire planets, and our wars could span galaxies - I have governed many.

[He had accepted now that no one was going to offer him anything significant just because of what he claimed to have accomplished, but he still liked to talk about it.]

[There was a bit of appreciation in Saber's eyes. Such accomplishments, if true, were worth noting. She didn't flaunt her true identity, but there was nothing wrong with others doing so with their own.]

That is quite the experience, and your world sounds fascinating. Tell me then, how would you like your experience to the benefit of the Unseelie Court? Goals, aspirations... other than survival, of course.

I will do whatever it takes.

[He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a Seelie shard, holding it between his fingers. Some here seem to object to killing, even Seelie shardbearers, but he has no such restraints.]

I know of the void, and what the Seelie want. I am not a cruel man [Yes he is. He absolutely is.] but I have no mercy for those who will try to take my universe from me. I could convince them to betray their own court, I suppose. Or charm their suppliers away, or lead the bees from their fields and see how well their crops do then. [Fun fact: If you're space royalty you can control bees.]

But this war may not last long enough for those games, and in that case I'd aid in planning an attack - or a defense - once I've become more familiar with the general surroundings here, or if it is not time for that, simply ensure that the machine is running smoothly and without traitors.

[Saber raised an eyebrow.]

You have been here less than a month and you have already claimed a Seelie shard? That sounds like a story I must hear.

I found her walking, we started talking, and when I found that she was Seelie I slayed her with a knife I had purchased in Treun some weeks ago.

[Because that's what they were supposed to do, right? Kill any Seelie they find.]

I was jumped by her pet soon after - a wolverine in the bushes I didn't know was there - and my knife is still lodged deep in its belly where it fell, I imagine. It tore my arm up with its teeth and I didn't have the strength to move the beast and retrieve it. Thankfully, one of our Barons healed me soon after.

Quite impressive. If you need your weaponry replaced, I will see to that. I am glad to know you were healed, and I look forward to meeting you in person.

No need; it was not expensive, I can easily get another. I look forward to meeting you as well.
