[Loras appears in the locket, his hair a mess of golden curls. He has started to grow some facial hair now, it seems. It makes him appear older. It's him attempting something to appear more worthy of the position he finds himself in, now.

There is some false cheer in him, now, but unless they know him, they most likely won't see it. He has been playing this charm game is entire life, after all. How many people know his true self here, these days?]

My name is Loras Tyrell; many of you know me already, but I wished to extend a welcome to all of those you who have newly arrived. I know that it can be difficult to adjust, but many people here will be willing to assist you, if you only ask for it.

On that note, let me extend you all a welcome to the Cothromach. We are a city in the Spineback Mountains, not entirely far from Caer Glaem.

[He realizes he hasn't spoken to everyone since Sansa left, since the meeting of the Shields, so he must--]

The city's ruler recently left, and I will be ruling now, in her stead.

[Margaery would be laughing, right now, if she could see him.]

Now that I will be spending most of my time in Cothromach, I need to find someone to take over my position at the White Tower. It functions as one of the first line of defense for Caer Glaem; an outlook, to watch for any possible dangers. If any of you would like the position, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Where I come from, many rulers have small councils. I would like to institute that, for Cothromach.

Forgive me for the insult then, my lady. Do you prefer first or family names? I know some people have preferences.

[He still finds it strange to refer to women he is not familiar with by their first names. But after almost two years, he's gotten used to doing what makes them comfortable.]

It's no insult. A misunderstanding given your naming traditions back home. If it might be confusing to call me 'Snow', you can call me Mary Margaret if you'd like. I don't mind either way.

[It's something she understands may cause some confusion or discomfort among those from his home. If he prefers to use her cursed name instead, she doesn't mind, if that's more comfortable.]

I prefer Mary Margaret, if you don't mind. My own sister's name is Margaery--it is a bit closer to hers.

[And it will not be as easy to mistake her for a bastard that way, which is important.]

Of course. I don't mind either one being used. I know Sakura calls me Ms Margaret, and I am used to both in reference to me. Margaery is a pretty name though. Your sister, is she here as well?

[She can never be sure, who might have friends or family here and who might be without. Or who might have had them even briefly with them here for a time, or separated by Courts.]

Sadly she is no longer here. It seems most around me have left. Sansa was simply the latest.

It seems quite a few have been leaving recently. I suppose it is just as well when we've had some new arrivals with this timing. But I am sorry to hear that. I know it must be difficult, when one you care for is gone home.

[She herself had Regina previously, but they were separated by the Courts. Barely knew each other were here until they found each other at the Station, talked over the lockets prior to the restrictions. As brief as that was before Regina was taken home, leaving Snow alone.]

I....I prefer to think of it that way. I mean, with people arriving from different times sometimes never knowing we were gone.

[Of course she knows what it implies, more or less. Snow is just always an optimist that tries to look at things in the best light possible. To consider alternatives. Happier alternatives. Else she would never have gotten through half of what she has in her life, here or back home in either Storybrooke or the Enchanted Forest.]

But you're right. Cothromach is too important to risk for a disagreement with the monarchs. Well, over that particular one, anyway.

I am glad, as well. Considering the mood they have been in, it could have gone very badly.

Yes. We can believe what we want. Or hope, even if it is a fool's hope.

I know. I've been told more than once how I tend to always believe the best and hope in spite of everything.

I used to. But that sort of hope was smashed out of me, years ago.

That can happen. I can understand that. There was even one point where I -- I took the easier path. Instead of believing, doing what was right.

[She's not going into specifics over the network. Not here and now. But she can sympathize. Emma is the same, so much more realistic and cynical at times in comparison to her parents from her upbringing.]

It's what happened to me. At one point. I've regretted it ever since. I'm not saying your case is the same. Just that, well. Things change. It isn't always easy to believe. To see the other possibilities. I know that.
