[Video] Seelie Locked
[Loras appears in the locket, his hair a mess of golden curls. He has started to grow some facial hair now, it seems. It makes him appear older. It's him attempting something to appear more worthy of the position he finds himself in, now.
There is some false cheer in him, now, but unless they know him, they most likely won't see it. He has been playing this charm game is entire life, after all. How many people know his true self here, these days?]
My name is Loras Tyrell; many of you know me already, but I wished to extend a welcome to all of those you who have newly arrived. I know that it can be difficult to adjust, but many people here will be willing to assist you, if you only ask for it.
On that note, let me extend you all a welcome to the Cothromach. We are a city in the Spineback Mountains, not entirely far from Caer Glaem.
[He realizes he hasn't spoken to everyone since Sansa left, since the meeting of the Shields, so he must--]
The city's ruler recently left, and I will be ruling now, in her stead.
[Margaery would be laughing, right now, if she could see him.]
Now that I will be spending most of my time in Cothromach, I need to find someone to take over my position at the White Tower. It functions as one of the first line of defense for Caer Glaem; an outlook, to watch for any possible dangers. If any of you would like the position, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Also,
[He sighs, his charm faltering for a moment.]
I confess that I will need assistance while we transition. I have many wonderful advisers, but if any of you newcomers have political talent, I would like to speak with you.
Where I come from, many rulers have small councils. I would like to institute that, for Cothromach.
I am not so prideful not to know to ask for help, when needed.

video;
So uh, political talent, huh? [ Kamala nods knowingly, pretending she understood exactly what Loras needed. At least in her world, politicians just made things up as they went along. ] You mean like, negotiations?
video;
[...she looks a little young, but who should he be, to judge?]
I confess I am not the best at such things.
video;
Can't you just beat them up? [ She pauses. ] Or wait, is that not people do? [ Another beat, because she can't help herself. ] What kind of negotiations do you need?
[ Clearly she's way in over her head. ]
video;
[Loras has no idea what she is talking about.]
Well, apparently the elves are open to negotiations. But that is complicated, I've been told.
video;
[ Okay. That was a mouthful, but maybe it got the point across. She was absolutely terrible at this. ]
We have elves here? [ Like Legolas? Be still her fangirl heart. But even as she says that in awe, Kamala can't help but look too enthusiastic. Nevermind that she was woefully underqualified for this, she's momentarily distracted by meeting actual elves for the first time in her life. ]
video;
How can you be in a battle without violence? That is what a battle is.
[Oh Loras, you can be so dim sometimes.]
And yes, there are elves here. Though I've never known elves to be anywhere else. Are they common where you come from?
video;
[ There she was getting her phrases mixed up. ] I mean, you know - like, blood and violence, sure, but not that much. Ugh, anyway. You want negotiations, without violence, I'm guessing?
[ She brightens up at that. Granted, her latest escapades involved punching robots, but still, there were negotiations involved. Some negotiations at least. ]
And I'm guessing negotiations with elves right? Never had them where I'm from, but I can't imagine they'd be too difficult to talk to. [ She pauses, and then a serious face. ] Do they speak English?
video;
[This woman's world must be very different from his own...]
What's english?
[The magic of their communicators that allow them to understand all languages.]
They are actually incredibly difficult to deal with, from what I've been told.
video;
She smiles all the same, too determined not to let this awareness deter her from her plans of accomplishing something. ] English? Oh, it's like the main language where I come from. Almost everyone speaks it.
[ Except like that one random uncle, but semantics. ] But if they don't speak English, then maybe I can mime my words. I'm sure I can totally win them over.
[ Like she's won you over Loras, huh? HUH? ]
video;
I frankly don't understand.
[But he doesn't care, either.]
I speak Westerosi, but you seem to understand me well enough.
But yes, perhaps uh...miming would work?
You seem intelligent and charming enough.
[Loras is a horrible judge of character.]
video;
I totally won't let you down, Mr. Tyrell! Now if I can just... find out where you are and figure out what happens in Cothromach. Getting there is safe, right?
[ She makes a mental note to ask him about Westerosi at some point, just because it sounds interesting to her. ]
video;
Yes, getting here is relatively safe. If you are concerned, I can send some guards to escort you here.
