She doesn’t seem particularly aware that anyone can see her via the device, though she had been told that’s how they work. She taps at it, as if that might reveal its secrets to her.]

[She pauses, her lips pursed.] Oh! It’s working now. [She clears her throat. Her cheeks turn a light shade of pink.] I’m sorry. I didn’t exactly mean…

That is, my name is Sophie Hatter. I’m still rather sure that there’s been some sort of mix up with my being brought here, but no one seems inclined to believe me. I wonder if they have fancy coats that I could cut up? But no, I imagine that only works on certain people.

So instead of telling you all the same thing I’ve said countless times already, I’ll ask you this: Has anyone here heard of the Wizard Howl? Or Pendragon. Or Jenkins. Any of those names would do. He’s a rather vain man, apt to look for hair potions before a roof over his head. He wears bright colors and likes to change the color of his hair, though he usually favors blonde…

If you know of him, I’m sure he must have something to do with this and I’d like to have a word or two with him. As soon as possible.

It would not be the first foolish thing he's ever done. [Leave it to Howl to choose a name that would encourage such wrath.] The name bears meaning to you?

[ It is mine, she almost hisses. ] It belongs to the royal family of Camelot, I know of it's king and he has no love of magic.

That is entirely too many names for a person to have.

I'm unfamiliar with the kingdom, but I'm certain Howl didn't mean any slight. Careless thinking on his part, likely. His many names were a way of hiding, I think.

I entirely agree. Nevertheless, it's always best to check all of his names.

I've not heard of any human like that around here, at least. In Unseelie lands.

Despite his flamboyance, he is rather good at avoiding people when he sets his mind to it.

But I suppose it's possible that he is unattached to this mess. [Unlikely, but possible.]

He sounds a man who makes many enemies, if he needs so many names to hide behind.

The lockets just need names to connect. If none of his worked, he's probably not here.
