At least you're not alone, right? He seems like a tough guy. I'm sure you'll be fine.

[meaningless platitudes aren't necessarily his style -- honestly, saying the most realistic but uncomforting thing possible has kinda gotten him in trouble with some of his friends before. but he learns from his mistakes, and he can't just say nothing.]
