She loves the presents she had been given and she had been looking for a reason to show off the fact that she'd gotten them in the first place - there hadn't been much of a time for thank you notes and dropping in on people, though she had simply assumed that Luke had gotten the gifts she'd had sent over to him.

Charmed as she is by the snakes, Hermione almost doesn't notice Luke speaking until she turns her head and actually pays attention. Lonely? Pausing, she shifts, considering it for a moment. ] It's not too lonely. I see people, you know. I pop in and out of Caer Glaem all the time. [ It's not so bad. Hermione knows what she has to do when it comes to her place in the Drabworld; she has to make potions, check on people, make sure that everyone is healed and healthy. If she stops then she'll end up with her friends getting hurt and her unable to help - and what's the point of that? What's the use of her if she isn't capable of helping, of researching and showing the things she's found and remembered to the rest of the people around her? She doesn't want to think about her uses if her magic stops working or she isn't allowed in the library anymore.
