[The sight that is revealed in the locket first appears to be a stranger, a seemingly unfamiliar brunette appearing within it. But there soon enough comes a large smile, one that's most definitely been seen by some around the Drabwurld, a signature grin that would normally belong to a certain mischievous winter spirit.

Except now, the spirit isn't a spirit at all, or he doesn't seem to be. Because sparkling blue eyes have now transformed into a simple chestnut color and pale skin has become naturally colored flesh. What once was a notable ice spirit has somehow become a human.]

So I decided to try a little makeover—you know—do the whole dull color trend, blend in with the scenery, that kind of thing.

[What he tries to portray as disinterest is easily betrayed by his widening smile, obviously revealing just how excited he is about this.]

What do you think? Does it suit me at all?

( ooc: his icons will still have his white hair, but he'll still be in his human form throughout comments / the change comes from his boon, a necklace that allows him to change into a human when he wears it )

[ He's never going to be 100% okay with this, still harbouring suspicions about Morla's gift giving Jack exactly what makes him happy, but he isn't about to rain on his parade here. They've spoken, Jack knows how Hiccup feels; This isn't healthy. What if you can't change back? Does this mean you're indebted to Morla or her faction, or both?

He misses his friend's usual appearance, if only because it is Jack's. For now, he merely smiles. Jack, regardless of how this came about, deserves to get some fun out of it. ]

That's me. Figured I'd take a brief hiatus from spirit status.

What's this? Is that a compliment I hear?

[He knows. He's only experimented with this for a day, so there's a lot to figure out about this new trick. But for now, he needed this. To see what he's been missing out for years, to feel alive if only for a little while.

Still, he grins to Hiccup, still getting a kick out of the teasing, even if it couldn't consist of flurry throwing this time.]

Does it really matter the color? Point is, I still look better than you.

Well, I appreciate it. Though it has its downsides—not being able to fly, for one. But I guess that just means I'm stuck on land with you and Angus.

[ There's no teasing when he tells him that, giving a gracious nod as he allows Jack their friendship as a buoy. Hiccup nods and chins a hand. ]

[ One fear runs deeper than the rest; What if you died like a mortal? Where would you go? Would you become a spirit again? For that reason, Hiccup gives him all the support he needs, because he can't help feeling apprehensive about the days Jack will select to be human in the future. If one of them were to unexpectedly be his friend's last when so unarmed and he wasn't here to make it wonderful for him, to watch over him, he'd never forgive himself.

He's a blacksmith; it's not in his nature to trust magic one jot, especially not when gifted so generously to his friends. Maybe I'm just too suspicious, but then again I was dragged into this world in a sack. ]

Now you know I can't make any promises there.

[But his sly grin softens, because he knows Hiccup's still uneasy. Because he's spent enough time around him to know when something's bugging him. Plus, there's plenty of room for doubt when Jack had somehow managed to get a gift like this so easily. It had been the one thing he desired, especially now after learning about his death from the Black Shuck, yet it took almost no time at all for him to receive it.]

I don't understand. [ Which is an even greater travesty than the fact he's lost his beautiful white hair. ]

I know. So, what's the general consensus on your new look?

Apparently, it's boring. I get it's not exactly all sparkles and frost, but I expected a little more courtesy. I mean, I'm sure I've still got the charm at least.

You look a whole lot better than Snotlout, Fishlegs or Tuffnut ever have, which I'm sure they'd all agree on before jealously bitching about you like old women.
