III [Accidental Video; Backdated a few days]

[The feed opens after this scene, as Zelos sets down his bag and accidentally causes the locket attached to open. They look to be in some area of the Station and Zelos is accompanied by what looks like grouchy black cat with a red scarf (who is no other than Mako who accidentally got turned into a cat by a feather). Also there's a baby dragon.]

Jeez- fine, Mako! I'll try! Stop giving me that look!

[Zelos sighs and tries to think how to do this. He's never actually tried to undo a curse or enchantment with magic before - he usually left that up to Raine. Just how was he supposed to do this? But he had to try something, so he makes a thinking noise for a moment before he snaps his fingers]

Okay, got an idea! Just hold still, okay? This takes concentration.

[He makes sure to be standing up so he can concentrate properly. Then, he starts channeling magic. Glowing light and glyphs appear around him. As he does so, water comes up from the ground, clean and sparkling with magic. The water starts to spin around the cat, until it forms a very large spinning bubble around him without getting him wet. Zelos meanwhile, looks like he's trying really hard to keep up concentration as he tries to recite the incantation he heard Raine say a lot]

Root of all creation...grant us the breath of- shit! Wait! That's the wrong one!

[And with that mess up, his concentration is broken. The glowing glyphs immediately dissipates and the sparkly water bubble? Well it immediately loses it's form and the water SPLASHES down on the cat. ]

MRRROOOOW!! [The cat freaks out, sneezing out a fireball in the process]

Whoa-! [Zelos jumps back away from the splashing water and FIRE, looking very startled]

...Oops?

There's been a bunch of them around lately, and they've been having various effects on people - mostly turning into other things.

[wilder]

Oh-

[an awkward pause]

I dunno. I didn't see any. And...right now I'm pretty sure if I step near him, he'll claw the hell out of me. Ha...

[gordianknots]

Can you politely ask your friend from a safe distance if he's been near anything? I mean, you could always use a pillow or something as a shield if you must.

[wilder]

He's a cat. He can't really talk. Just...glare a lot.

[So much glaring.]

I'll try when he calms down some.

But he can understand you, yes? If you can phrase it as a yes or no question--

Yeah....I'll try later.

[gordianknots]

Probably the safest course of action. It looks like the feather effects wear off on their own, at the very least.

They do?

Oh great. If it wears off before he calms down, I get to have a guy throwing full sized fireballs at me.

Oh good lord. Maybe you should find feathers to keep him in cat form, if that's the case.

...Nah. Cat hair's too much of a pain to clean. At least I can heal burns.

Fair enough. Hopefully you won't have burns to heal.

Yeah, no kidding. [Except welp, looks like he will. Suuuucks]

So feathers, huh? If I do find any, what am I supposed to do about it?

I think the courts want them returned. Holding onto them has created some...interesting results, besides.

[wilder]

....If by interesting, you mean turning into a cat- I'll gladly turn in any I find.

[Because eff that noise he likes being...wtfever he is!]

Someone else I know turned into a bird so. Yeah, I'd just go with turn things in.

[wilder]

A bird?

[He considers]

Well, I guess turning into a hawk for a bit might be pretty cool...

That may be, but there's no way to ensure that's what you'll turn into

Ah- right right. Good point. Don't play with the mysteriously powered feathers, got it!

I gave it back, actually, so there were no fun adventures in animal transformation.

Right, okay. Got the message. Go find feathers and turn them in before we get more people turning into cats or birds that crash into trees.
