003 | BACKDATED TO THE MORNING OF THE 16TH | SEELIE LOCKED VIDEO
[Lockets don’t give all that much video detail when they’re being used for that function, but it’s clear that Kayneth is moving and sitting in the back of a wagon of some sort that seems to be filled with armor. He’s got a few arcane looking materials lying around, and is drawing circles on a breastplate --- or at least, that can be assumed that’s what he’s doing, as most of the breastplate is out of view.
Like hell he’s letting any of you see his trade secrets! But anyway, it’s clear he has some questions for the network…]
Well, with tensions heating up, I do believe that it’s a fantastic idea to use these lockets for the purpose I presume they’re intended for --- particularly, sharing intelligence.
I’m currently aiding a transport that’s bringing supplies to the new Citadel, both on the building end of things and the munitions end of things. Because of the nature of our destination and our cargo, I assumed that the best route to keep everything safe would be to go through the Northwood and then Eaglais --- but are there any specifically unique dangers to that route? I know it’s customary to leave an offering of milk and honey for the White Hart while passing through, but is there anything else? Bandits, perhaps?
As you can see, I'm giving the munitions and armor a few useful modifications, so I'd really rather not risk having my hard work fall into precisely the wrong hands.

Lord Kayneth, I have not travelled through those roads properly, only flown over them, but I would like to offer congratulations on your appointment as Marquis, if I may.

[Maps don't capture everything, after all! ...and he'll try not to preen too much.]
And thank you very much --- but on that topic, I've heard that you're in need of some congratulations yourself? I'm looking forward to working with you, Marchioness Flora.

[Flora tries to swallow her discomfort at the title--it shouldn't be there, it does not fit--betraying it only with a slight quirk of her lips, to her credit, and dips her head graciously. She shouldn't falter anywhere on principle, but it seems especially pertinent with someone who's a born noble, at least as far as she knows.
She's thinking so much about this and wants to pinch the bridge of her nose for it. Politics.]
Thank you, you're very kind to say so, and I feel the same. It was on that matter that I wished to speak with you.
permaprivate video
[If he noticed, he at least didn't draw attention to it! But yes. Politics.]
I'd been meaning to speak with you as well about things related to it, but... well, for all we know, we could be thinking of the same things. Why don't you begin, then?

Of course, I'd welcome any ideas that you can add.

[...that's kind of a scary look in his eyes for a second...]
Well, I'm sure I could replicate them, anyway. I was also thinking about layering different disciplines and kinds of shields in the interest of making them that much harder for the enemy to figure out.
