video - open to both courts
[ Alice is outside of Caer Scima's courtyard in a brisk walk. She has the vorpal blade in one hand and elven sword in another. It feels strange, the sword. It's heavier than what she's used to and the way she uses it, she's not experienced in it. As usual, the way she attacks is frenzied, without a care of her own well-being, always bordering on being feral. She's already tried clubbing them with the knightmare hobby horse to no avail. The fact it didn't affect them leaves her visibly startled.]
It wasn't enough that we already made amends that we spilled blood on Death's Altar?!
[ She's cornered. Her mind's visions are twisted, there's a glimpse of something from her past. Fire. She is small, smaller than she is now. The way her visions twist together, it's hard to tell if it is a memory or a hallucination. She is small again, covered head to toe in bandages, wheeled down a dark, gloomy hallway by strangers-]
Stop it.
[ Alice warns holding out the curved sword. Now that her hands are shaking and she's nearly in a panic because what she fears most is fire.
You cannot help them.
But she refuses to fully succumb to this, she's never been this fearful in Drabwurld, not like this.]

[ She will not be pushed around, not anymore. She'll let the hounds of Hell have it by killing them. The horrified look on her face turns to a look of utter glee. She'll kill them.
She'll make sure they'll stay dead.
Because of the way she stabs them, even when they're dead.]

action~
Maglor comes into view after his voice does, his Light blazing clearly as he puts forth his power, the song cresting into triumph as the dogs break and flee and die before it ]
Alice! Alice, are you well?
action;
It feels like a healing wound has been exposed and in many ways, it is. She's replayed the vision of her past over and over, both conscious and not. She is done crying over it, she tells herself.
She's been fighting off the fear of fire, unsure if these visions are a horrible rendition of her mind or not. Suddenly, something passes over her that pulls her slightly out of that haze. Her arms are sore from cuts and bruises. Her fists are bruised and her dress is torn.
She's been at this for a while, she just realized. Alice turns to see him, looking disheveled. ]
action 4eva~
Alice. [ He calls her softly, with song as well as voice ] Alice, it is well, they are gone, for now.

Mister Maglor?

Aye Alice, tis I. The enemy is fled, gwilwileth.

[ Because that is now many things work in life, she feels. Alice eventually trudges forward, disregarding wounds and the oncoming dizzy spell from the spike of fear. ]
You should be with your brother.
no subject
[ A wry shrug at that ]
My brothers can take care of themselves, now they know what it is they need to fight. We have all of us known what fear is... and how to fight it. I have seen them, and they are well - time enough for me to worry about my friends and the rest of my kin now.
no subject
Needless to say, she feels pitiful with it. ]
I'm not very good with this.
[ It's a weird sword and Alice is very small. Eventually she minds Maedhros' advice on keeping her blades clean. She uses her apron to wipe it off before sliding it back into it's schethe. She only has to flick the vorpal blade. A breather.
It seems strange. This whole time was a breather and she has been following her friends into battles without thinking. ]

You will learn. [ he says simply, for she will - he knows how good a teacher his brother is - and he nods in approval when she cleans it and puts it away ]
Blades do little against them however. [ He is still wary, eyes scanning their surroundings, but he is waiting more for that spike of fear ]
Best you get behind walls, little butterfly - there are others who will need you, and steel is not enough out here.

Then I'll find another way.

Fire then, the light makes them hesitate, although things with Power in them work better, Alice.
no subject
[ She nearly shrieks at him, the hair on her neck standing on end at the idea of fire.
Fire, for goodness sakes -- what could he mean? Her mind in the most irrational thought process jumps to all sorts of conclusion. ]
No fire.
no subject
What is wrong gwilwileth? And I carry no flame with me Alice - twas only a suggestion.
no subject
It travels too quickly, it wouldn't matter of any of these walls are made of stone! Don't!
no subject
I will not, Alice - it was only a suggestion. [ he repeats ] I have other weapons at my disposal.
no subject
[ He says it's a suggestion, but it takes a while for her to let go of it. The visions surrounding her have to do with exactly just that.
Fire. A small child fleeing from fire at the urgency of her father. Her father's voice makes it worse. ]
no subject
You can do that from inside as well as out, Alice. Please? It would ease my heart to know you are safe.
no subject
[ She's always fine. She has to be fine, she has no choice. Alice takes a few steps back just like a cornered animal. ]
