Good day, everyone.

It seems Reynard The Fox is a Hot Topic of the week, and I know that he is being discussed in greater depth elsewhere, thank goodness. [Seriously, this stuff is very nice to know.] That said, I may have a bit of new information for those who weren't aware.

He was behind the destruction of the Drabkeeper's Castle. By himself, it seems. I don't know why, but if you've seen what's happened to it, you know that that's no joke. It's been completely levelled.

[So, that might give a greater appreciation of what he might be capable of to those that didn't know, before.

There's more to it than that, but she doesn't know how much of a target she's made herself out to be and doesn't want to implicate or involve anyone else. Still, someone should know all of it.]

Secondly, I would caution anyone with any kind of Sight [there is a careful emphasis of the word that she's certain won't be missed by those who know what to look for.] in taking extra precautions in using it, if you have both the means to and the control.

Are you well?

I have gone to the storm near the Station -- mercenary forces fight Reynard's beneath it.

I'm listening.

[To be honest, Flora used text because while she can keep other people's secrets very well, sometimes, she's not the best with her own or keeping things hidden when they weigh on her. But, she's said what she needs to, and she wants to see the Outsider, besides!]

I am, now. [When she went there, eeehhh, not so much, but details.

But wow, she blinks and is immediately concerned. Her voice isn't panicked, in fact it's quite calm, but her features are pinched with worry.]

Please be careful. His power is immense, and excruciating.

Before I tell you, I just want to say the way I came by this information may have marked me in some way, I'm not sure, so if you don't want to know, that's fine with me.

Now, [ he repeats, head tilting. He's in the encampment at the moment, the storm still raging. ]

I will be. In truth, I am mostly here to watch Alice and Lumina -- Alice would have gone with or without me, but asked for my help, and Lumina... goes where she wishes on a whim.

[ He's horribly fond of them both. ]

[She scratches her cheek, sheepishly.] Oh, um, I suppose it turns out that I got caught snooping where I shouldn't have? Maybe. [She sighs.] Or more walked into a trap. My own spell was warped, and then I was trapped in it. It...there was sort of really powerful, really awful curse of some kind, maybe, it was a psychic attack. And then at the end of it all, I was blinded. Not exactly my idea of a fun time.

Well, I hope you'll all come out of it just fine. Even if she would have gone without you, I'm sure Alice is happy to have you with her.

Perhaps the Fox is as smart as they say, then. How long did this last? Do any effects still linger?

[ That she knows of, at least. He hopes she's gone to have the healers look her over, to see if any part of the curse lingers. ]

I think it rather surprised her.

'Marked' you? What do you mean?

I'd been unconscious for about an hour, apparently, and the blindness'd lasted twenty four hours, before it wore off on its own. No one could do anything about it. I couldn't, my friends couldn't, healers in the infirmary, no one. [Here, her voice grows a little quiet. She'd barely been able to sleep at all after all the attempts, too worried was she that her sight might have been gone forever.

She wants to say it was her fault, that she as careless, but Zelos's words playback in her head and she swallows them, exhaling slowly.

This gets into a bit of dangerous territory.]

I...don't know that it was him, though. Or just him, anyway. I haven't worked everything out, yet. But, I'm fine now. [She offers a chipper chipper smile. Totally okay, so don't worry.]

I hope the surprise was interesting to watch, for you.

Do movies exist back home for you, sir?

[She has a point, she promises. ]

I can see into the past, sort of like one might watch a movie, sir. That's how I knew Reynard was involved. The event played out like a scene, except as I was watching, one of characters was watching back. Staring right at me.

Okay, that's creepy as hell.

But I still want to know.

You're telling me. The past doesn't usually break the 4th wall. As in really break it; Reynard wasn't alone, he was with a woman. One who trapped me in and manipulated my own spell, then attacked and blinded me.

[ the feed comes through with a single name attached to it; ADLER. ]

He must be quite powerful. Reynard.

He is. I've known a lot of powerful beings, but the novelty doesn't quite wear off.

[Especially not under the circumstances she endured.]

And who knows the extent of his power?

[She means that in more ways than one: making an observation, as well as a hopeful inquiry. It would be nice to know of someone who could better quantify such things.]

I'm sure there are some people that have a good idea. It's just a matter of finding them.

He isn't immortal, no matter what it seems. No one is.

I'm sure I agree with you. I don't know if everyone's saying what they know. [Heeeeerself incluuuuuded. Perhaps not, but they might have good reasons for it, but a little more digging seems like the only way to go, dangerous though it might be.

[In her experience, a lot of things worthwhile in life typically aren't great for it.]

I'd have to disagree with you on the immortality part, since I've met some truly immortal beings, before. But, it is true there are a lot of people who seem or think themselves indestructible and aren't.

Secrets are kept because people are afraid to tell them - either of him, the courts, the Queens... Everyone has their reasons. It's just finding out what it was. If only the books were more helpful, right?

Maybe. Maybe things are different here after all. We'll have to see.

You had a hunch? [She doesn't sound disbelieving, more incredulous, because it had to have come from somewhere. Been based on something.] This man's just responsible for and gets around a lot, doesn't he?

Reynard's the kind of asshole who would do something like that. It just seemed like a safe guess at the time.

[At the word complicated, Waver chokes back a bitter laugh. Of course it is. It's always complicated.]

I am, yeah.

I wonder what his problem is, not that anything I've heard really surprises me.

[It's all secondhand, and that doesn't paint quite as good a picture as if she'd met him herself, but it fits the M.O. of a lot of people she's dealt with in the past, so far.]
