( 2ND Snowy Flight — video, both courts )

[ Smoke is seen billowing as the locket's owner shoves a door open, coughing and waving a hand. This is broadcasting from the Station, evidently, with the modern-day look of things behind only mildly scorched around one side of the kitchen. Hiccup himself has since bathed after the journey from Caer Scima and obviously raided the Station's underground storerooms for clean clothes; he wears a bright red hoodie that hangs open over a plain tshirt, which in turn shows he still wears his leathers beneath and his prosthetic. Only the flightsuit is safely stored in his underground bedroom.

He spits a mouthful of sooty grime aside, swiping his weeping eyes as he steps out into the sweet relief of fresh air. ]

To anyone who wants to use the Station's kitchen right now, uh. It's down one 'microwave' and 'freezer'. Not our fault, I might add! Well, improving the freezer could debatably be called a mistake on Jack's part ...

[Behind Hiccup, the winter spirit could be seen approaching, sans wearing his cape which he instead uses to try and wave off the smoke in the air. His normally pristine white shirt is no longer very winter-like at all, darkened and dirtied by all the floating soot most likely. Upon hearing his name, he peeks from behind his accuser, not as cheery as he tends to be.]

Excuse me, Doctor Boom. I was trying to calm down the fire that you started because your science-y senses started tingling and you got, and I quote, "curious". I'd say that my miniature blizzard saved your life.

[ Looking more harassed and frazzled than normal too, a twitch goes in Hiccup's jaw. His pitch heightens, although he attempts to keep his irritation down. ]

There's nothing around here that says you shouldn't put metal objects in the box that heats everything up, you'd think it would make sense and just melt it, if anything.

[Excuses that Jack has heard over and over, prompting the repeated eye roll. Instead of arguing further, he brings up a hand over Hiccup's shoulder to grab the locket, directing his attention to it.]

Point is, because of Mr. Metal Bomb over here, the kitchen's been compromised, so if you wanna roast your meal, you'll have to do it old campfire style outside. Or if you have some things to blow up— [Hiccup gets a nice quick pat on the cheek.] —you can refer to Sir Haddock right here. He's apparently pretty good at that.

[ A very flat expression and folded arms await Jack coming full-circle with his own version of events, and Hiccup rolls his eyes so much that it looks like they might slip right free of his skull. ]

Thank you for summing that up. Pardon me for not understanding everything about electronics within a single afternoon. [ The locket is then, for a third time, turned back his way. ] There is an oven left, it's just the box thing that died, and someone destroyed the frozen food cupboard-whatever. I'm going to be cleaning up the resulting mess all day, if anyone wants to, oh, I don't know, help.

[ The latter is said with a pointed look at a certain winter spirit.

Unexpectedly, lost in their bickering like old ladies, the boys have forgotten about the flame-haired (literally, she's still smouldering) teenager in the midst of the kitchen. They both wince near-simultaneously when a thick accent curses loudly, and sporting equally sheepish faces the locket is hastily switched off before Merida can catch them slacking.

Apparently a sixteen-year-old, pissed off Scottish girl with singed hair is a far better incentive for two grown men to clean up their mess than anything else. ]

( OOC: Hic, Jack and Mer are all at the Station if you'd like to dive in with Action, otherwise all three will be chatty on their lockets regarding the big boom from the kitchen today. )

I've never heard of it. Wait -- the Reverend of Darkness is one of yours?

[It's kind of shocking. Plus, Jack's disappointed that Meridah isn't available.]
winterwork: (₆₄)

[personal profile] winterwork 2014-10-18 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
I tended to do my business more in secret. [Also true, since he wasn't exactly visible to people until recently.]

Who's the Reverend of Darkness though?
all7seas: (must be a tiny thing behind the Pearl)

[personal profile] all7seas 2014-10-18 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
Haddock.

[The name makes him so deadly and ominous.]
winterwork: (₈₈)

[personal profile] winterwork 2014-10-18 01:52 am (UTC)(link)
[He has to think about it for a bit before he lets out a snort, loudly at that.] Hiccup? I'm pretty sure kid isn't anything of darkness. I think you've got something mixed up.
all7seas: (I see seven towers)

[personal profile] all7seas 2014-10-18 02:00 am (UTC)(link)
I've got lots mixed up, but I named him for a very good reason, boyo. Why don't you ask him about it sometime?

[Because he was trusting Hiccup to come up with a very good story about it.]

[personal profile] winterwork 2014-10-18 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
I'm gonna have to, cause I'm finding it very hard to believe. [Not that he was so big on truths either at the moment.]

Though I am pretty amused to find another Jack, that's for sure.
all7seas: (curiouser and curiouser)

[personal profile] all7seas 2014-10-18 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
Why so amused? You think you're the only one? There's LOTS of Jacks! Every sailor's a Jack, really.

[This kid must not get out much. He IS very pale.]
winterwork: (₁₉)

[personal profile] winterwork 2014-10-19 02:15 pm (UTC)(link)
[True enough he didn't really get to do a lot of meeting and greeting before recently.]

Every sailor's a Jack? Don't tell me that every Jack's a sailor too.
all7seas: (I see seven towers)

[personal profile] all7seas 2014-10-20 12:58 am (UTC)(link)
Not nearly! Some of them climb steeples. Others work at various trades. And some reside in boxes, from what I've heard. Which kind are you?
winterwork: (₅₅)

[personal profile] winterwork 2014-10-20 06:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm the kind that plays with the weather and blesses you folks with a good snow day. A bit better than those other kinds, I'd say.
all7seas: (Erm...)

[personal profile] all7seas 2014-10-21 12:03 am (UTC)(link)
Jack...Frost? [Oh bother.] Really?
winterwork: (₁₈)

[personal profile] winterwork 2014-10-21 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, so you have heard of me? [Said every Jack ever.]
all7seas: (I will fly I will swim I will die)

[personal profile] all7seas 2014-10-21 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
I think I scraped you off the bottom of a bucket of whale-oil, once.

[Yes. Bugger. A more famous Jack than him, probably. That's no good.] How are you even here? Aren't you melting?
winterwork: (₁₀₉)

[personal profile] winterwork 2014-10-23 03:20 pm (UTC)(link)
[HMPH. Not amused, Jack #2.]

I'm not melting. I'm a winter spirit, but I'm not a literal icicle. I can wander about anywhere I want, just like you can.
all7seas: (curiouser and curiouser)

[personal profile] all7seas 2014-10-23 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you just winter everything up wherever you go? Jack has a lot of questions, really.]
winterwork: (₃₅)

[personal profile] winterwork 2014-10-25 02:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I can, if I want to. The amount of it just depends on how cold out it is.

[So, no, he wouldn't be able to, say, cover a boiling hot desert with snow.]
all7seas: (tell me true)

[personal profile] all7seas 2014-10-25 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Fascinating. [Not really. Not as interesting as it COULD be, anyway.] And now you're paling around with the Scotch lass and the Reverend of Darkness. Not sure I approve.
winterwork: (₄₇)

[personal profile] winterwork 2014-10-27 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
Whoa, whoa, and what's there to not approve of exactly?
all7seas: (a dishonest man)

[personal profile] all7seas 2014-10-28 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
Running with a crowd like that! Why would you put yourself in such proximity to her fire? And his......

Well, he's undoubtedly got something though I've no idea what.
winterwork: (₈₈)

[personal profile] winterwork 2014-10-28 12:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, come on, Merida's got a spicy mouth on her, but she isn't gonna literally set me on fire. As for Hic—I can agree with you there, he can be a bit dangerous.
all7seas: (serene)

[personal profile] all7seas 2014-11-07 01:15 pm (UTC)(link)
It's always the quiet ones, so they say. At least you've got him on your side, I suppose. The devil you know, am I right?
winterwork: (₅₆)

[personal profile] winterwork 2014-11-09 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
Ha! Yeah, that's one way of putting it. But what about you? What sort of captain are you anyway?
all7seas: (must be a tiny thing behind the Pearl)

[personal profile] all7seas 2014-11-10 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
Pirate. Pirate captain. [Come on Jack Frost get with the program.] Of the piratey kind. Savvy?
winterwork: (₈₈)

[personal profile] winterwork 2014-11-17 09:14 pm (UTC)(link)
A pirate! [Well, that's interesting.]

I've seen a couple of your kind before. A hoard of troublemakers. I kind of like you guys. Well, some of you, anyway. [A lot were hefty killers and that's a no-no for Jack.]
all7seas: (no denying a pirate)

[personal profile] all7seas 2014-11-20 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
We're troublesome sorts, aye. And I've seen......

Snow. Before.

Very cold stuff.
