[A scream begins this video, but all that follows is the sound of covers being shifted and someone walking, unsteadily, closer to the locket. Vanyel's face comes into view, his features washed out against his black hair.]

I must have... [His voice is hoarse, nearly cracking.] I am Gifted with Foresight. It has been...unreliable...since my arrival. Yet...

I fear what I see when I close my eyes. I fear what the fairies and imps say to us.

What becomes of this world may not matter, but what of our worlds?

[A shiver skates down his back and he clenches his teeth.]

Their magic could be interfering with my own. I pray that is the case. Otherwise...

[He glances over his shoulder before closing his eyes, pained.]

We deserve to see the future.

Really? Are you burdened with Gifts that are mostly useless in this environment? [He bites the inside of his lip, forcing himself to lay back.] I'd love some uninterrupted sleep.

No, there is much pain that could use your voice. [He arches a brow and tugs on Stefen's hand, encouraging him to lay over him.] You can do more than you think.

Aiding one in pain isn't looking for trouble. [As long as it isn't a trap.] I've been guarding myself. I'm afraid if I let down my barriers, my powers will react badly to the environment.

However I believe our bond is strong enough to keep them in check.

[Smiling softly, he leans in and captures Stefen's lips in a warm kiss. Then he slowly lowers his barrier, opening himself to their bond as a point of stability. It takes a few moments before he relaxes with relief. There are no ill effects.]

Yes. [His gratitude is overflowing. He lifts Stefen's hand and kisses over his knuckles.] The room is in one piece...

We are in one piece. I'm satisfied.
