This locket's pretty nifty. [Lancer, poised on the edge of a cliff, leaned his locket against one rock as he fiddled with a cloak and brooch, trying to pin one to the other without ripping it. He kept doing it over and over so he could weather it down and make it more comfortable to wear. When he got into a good little cycle of repetition, he spoke up, again.]
So, hey--I'm curious, has anyone heard about any 'help wanted' situations in Caer Glaem? I'd ask, but I figure this little artifact's got a good reputation is folks're using it so often.
[He continued talking, returning his eyes to the cloak and brooch.]
Let's see--I'm good with a plow, I know my way around horses and spreading seed... [Said nonchalantly, examining his handiwork.]
Pretty good at preparing and serving food. I wouldn't recommend me as the cook, though. I can read and write. [Conveniently, in every language on Earth.]
I'm a really good gardener, too--on top of farming, I mean. If you like flower-arrangement and things like that, you could say I've got a real knack for it.
[Lancer, seemingly content with the work he had done with the cloak and brooch, set both aside and began folding them where they lay. He crossed his arms and grinned back at the locket.]
So, if you folks know anyone who's hiring, put in a good word for me! You can call me [A pause. Lancer definitely stopped at that, thinking through his options.] Lancer. Yeah, I'll stick with that. It's gotten to be a habit, by now.

Time to stick to voice only to not have to answer all those 'what happened to your face questions'.]
Some habits are harder to break than others, Lancer.
Audio;
Ahhh? Even you, too? Though, I guess it makes sense. These folks in charge really are getting desperate.
Audio;
One would think, to bring those of us that understand their kind far better than they should prefer.
Audio;
What, politicians? I was never one for that kinda thing. Treatises, bartering and negotiations were always better suited for folks who really hated the sight of their own weapons, none the less the enemy and their weapons.

...
well, he could be reading this wrong...]
Unless I'm making entirely the wrong assumption here, I wouldn't expect most Lancers to be practiced in the art of floral arrangements.
[Rose themes, maybe. Actual flower arrangements? Naaah.]
[video]
[He grinned a bit happily, glad someone at least stayed on the topic at hand--]
I used to have my own little garden, though I didn't always get to tend to it. I like to think I have a knack for reading the type of flower for whatever situation one needs a bouquet for. 'Course, I need to get more antiquated with these local species...
[video]
Regardless, while I can't say I have much use for that kind of thing myself, presently, I'm sure at least someone here would appreciate it.
[video]
Ahhh, wait. So, you must be confident in yourself enough that gifts would be unnecessary? You must be quite the performer!
[Lancer no that's sexual harrassment]

Can you clean?
video
Well, you've gotta be more specific.
video
You know, cleaning! Floors, washing clothes, tidying up after people... Because if you can, I'd say you're totally qualified to work at an inn!

[even without money at the moment, she can't imagine it'll stay that way forever, and what he's describing may make him a suitable candidate for staff.]

I'd need to see the customer and what the stock available would be before I played to that kinda gambit, y'know.

[ at least on the surface. so far archer really doesn't care much for the unseelie, even if he's nominally one of their's. ]
Though I never expected to hear you offer yourself for such domestic services.
video;
Jeez, I was thinkin' I could get away with enjoyin' myself a little. Now I've gotta deal with you again. [Lancer only know this Archer as a 'needlessly serious' and sarcastic fellow.]
Y'know, I don't know why you're surprised. Folks need to earn money for the sake of their hobbies and social lives, right?
video;
[ granted, he really doesn't have anything personal again lancer, and their association was never overly antagonistic. still, he can't really picture them meeting and not coming to blows. ]
That is true, but I never figured you for a person with that much common sense.

A shame I don't have any coin to my name. Nothing would entertain me more than seeing your talents for myself.
[ Whatever serious tone she had before is gone in favor of teasing him. ]
video;
[Archer, Rin and Saber could brow-beat any staff into spitting into their food, clearly.]
video;
I just think it's odd you've been recruited to fight and yet you don't.
It's almost as if your benefactors are unaware of your skill set. I wonder, I wonder.

Check, please.]
Hello there, Sir Lancer, my name is Flora, and I'd be very interested in seeing your gardening skills!
Video
Flora, huh? That's a pretty telling name. Unfortunately, I haven't got a garden to show you with--unless you've got something I could use as a placeholder.
Video
And I do, actually! I have a greenhouse at the castle. If there are things that you're unfamiliar with, that's not a problem. A lot of my plants have very specific needs, so I'd be more than happy to instruct you and, of course, pay you for your time while doing so.
[She flashes him a warm smile. To be honest, she has more money than she knows what to do with.]
