I admit that much of my learning has been in the care of horses and steeds rather than the raising of a deerling. I have a cleg of my own but I imagine them to be quite dissimilar.

Keep the fawn close to you and do not allow it to play with others of its kind until fully grown, it will bond all the better with you for it. Unless you wish it to be wild and unridden, in which case the opposite will do. I find they suckle on their tails when idle, a problem solved with a little vinegar brushed through their fur.

Thranduil, Elvenking. Many are the elves and aelfen houses in these lands. I, myself, am one of the Sindar. Wood-elf is an acceptable term for my people, albeit not for each of the Eldar you may encounter.
