It's a necessity to protect them when they cannot do so themselves.

So how do you mean to "eliminate" others, and what must they do?

'Eliminate' is something I mean in the most simplistic sense. Killing is done in the event that negotiations are impossible and the safety of one side is at stake.
[As such, Lancelot's true colors were everything but hidden.]
To avoid casualties, care must be given to the havens. Loggers must be kept from their borders. Armies must not be marched through them.
