My lord. My true upbringing stems from the support of the fey. In this, I'm indebted to them to protect their lands and their well-being.

In this, I will be working to restore one of their Glens, so it may flourish in the wake of battles that had sundered it. Despite this, I will always be available for your sake. Please, do not hesitate to call upon my aid if necessary. My response will be ever swift.

I'm surprised, if anything. Perhaps this land is more suited for them than Albion... [He wasn't used to seeing so many creatures of myth in one place. Lancelot had only ever really met fairies and a dragon but, well, that last one didn't go that great.]

He sighed through his nostrils without so much as blinking.]

[Lancelot regarded the... jokester... with just a small measure of scrutiny before he formally replied.]

[A pause presented itself to let that scrutiny sink in.]

What entails your involvement with them?

[Waver promises he will never make an on-purpose pun in front of you again, Berserker.]

Shortly before you arrived, a number of Unseelie were dumped into the forest surrounding the Seelie castle, in order to reclaim an item within. I was a part of the support and medical team, which meant that I had occasion to scout the area. One of the dryads was nice enough to alert me and turn me away from running into a golem.

[Berserker would make him create a geas for that.]

Well, now. Perhaps you have an air about you that they favor. It's difficult for nymphs to tolerate the presence of mortals without getting shy.

[He added, testing Waver.]

Most men would take advantage of such a thing in less honorable ways.

[We all know we don't do those, because otherwise a scruffy mage will do something very underhanded about the whole thing.]

Maybe, but I'll leave the why of their decision making to them.

[Let's be real, it was probably the hair anyway.]

Well, I'd estimate that most people are idiots who don't consider repercussions.

[Lancelot liked that answer, but he still felt compelled to give additional warning.]

One could say the few to be smothered and drowned simply became far too greedy and sure of themselves.
