[The light of day is no kinder than the dusk of yesterday, but at least Aubri has been given enough time to make himself a little more presentable. His feathers are still in disarray and he's careful to keep the left side of his face away from the locket but there's less obvious blood matted through feathers and fur. His every intention is to keep this short -- he's found it within himself to actually travel today and he feels as if he needs to travel faster than the army that left yesterday.]

Some of you know that an army marches toward Caer Glaem. [He had considered warning only those who were aligned with Seelie. However, he has friends among Unseelie and isn't dumb enough to assume he's the only one. And if any Unseelie have objections to Celegorm's march, just maybe he can spur them toward taking some action, as well. In his mind, this is not Seelie vs Unseelie. Not yet.] Do not take this lightly; it is an army of considerable strength and number. I urge you to make preparations.

[A pause. Celegorm charged him to deliver a very specific message but Aubri will not be cowed. But something needs said.] I do not believe that reason will halt their march.

[True enough. If he had to play messenger, he'd much rather do it without the hot iron to his face.] I hold no great hope that this will pass without a fight somewhere.

True enough and then some, but I might have hoped for more of a time delay.

They are still several days from Gaer Glaem. There is still some time.

In your estimation, is there any chance that intervention is even worth it? Or will it just encourage both parties?

In my opinion, the best thing to do would be separate that one's head from his shoulders and send the army scattering to the four winds-- [and there's so much anger in his voice that he has to consciously dial it back just to make himself intelligible] --but I will not stand in the way of attempts at diplomacy. It must be tried, if we are to call ourselves civilized.

[Pause] But I wouldn't get too close.

[There's a lack of specificity involved that makes Waver pause. He's been trying to follow everything on the watches, and the number of individuals that --

--Oh hell it'd be Celegorm, wouldn't it?]

I don't have the physical strength or the ability to manage a fight. And from the sounds of what you've said, the opportunity for the matter is long gone.

[Aubri hums under his breath.] He wants them to know that he's coming. His scouts are alert and quick. Getting close may prove impossible. Diplomacy will not work. There will be blood spilled in the near future.

[For a long moment, Waver's quiet.]

Then other routes will have to be taken to offset these incredibly poor decisions.

[Which, given that Waver's no where near his own court at the moment, could prove to be a problem. Moreover, he's realized the actual role of Aubri-as-messenger, and feels like an ass for not asking the next question sooner.]

I've been rude and overlooked you in all of this. Is there anything I can do on your behalf?

[Aubri hesitates on the question, if only because he honestly hadn't expected it. (Perhaps should have, given that he knew he still looked rough, to say the least.)]

The point of this message was to warn of the army, not draw attention to myself. The only thing I ask is that you spread the word and, perhaps if you are near, to make preparation of some sort. I would rather that innocents not stand in the way of this.

[Aka, get people who can't fight or aren't willing to fight out.]
