[ it is with deadly purpose that morgana pendragon addresses the network, something she has not done since her arrival. the subject, a white dragon of poor health, lays in view curled upon her bed, watching with queerly blue eyes. ]

Consider this a warning─ [ the dragon lifts its head. ] bring harm to this dragon and you will know suffering beyond all imagining. She is under my protection and I will not allow more harm to befall her.

[ sarrum's treatment still lays fresh in her mind. each hand he lifted against her was done against aithusa also, the dragon doomed to grow in a space far too small for her. the painful cries haunt her dreams as much as the irons that cut into her wrists. men are cruel creatures and the fae has gathered a great many of them to their chests, who is to say that it will not happened again? or worse. ]

[ The permission is all she needs to turn away, to approach Aithusa. She holds out one hand, flat, nonthreatening; if the dragon would like to breathe in her scent, she's more than welcome to. ]

Hello, Aithusa. Will you let me try to help you?

[ at her approach the dragon lifts her head, scaled snout brushing lightly against ariadne's finger tips. she samples the girl's scent, wings shifting in place. as if to convey approval, aithusa lowers her head, a low rumble emanating from her throat.

morgana watches, silent, and fights the screaming in her mind. ]

[boutant]

Thank you, [ Ariadne murmurs, smiling. She's oblivious to Morgana's conflict, stepping forward a little more to place her hands on Aithusa's sides. ]

If you don't like it, just nudge me and I'll stop. [ With that out in the open, she concentrates on pushing healing energy into the dragon, on trying to soothe what hurts she can -- bruises, if there are any; cuts that haven't healed. No, she may not be able to heal bone, but if nothing else she hopes it touches the dragon's spirit. ]

[ something stop her from speaking, trauma most likely, but whether it is trauma of the mind or of the body none truly knows. the dragon only croons in reply, wings pressing closer to her pale body. the magic helps, surely it must for aithusa does not make any move to stop her, remaining still as ariadne works.

if anything, the young girl has made something of a friend here today. one of scales and fire. ]

[boutant]

[ She tries to linger for as long as she can, but working magic is exhausting; eventually, she has to drop her hands, rocking back onto her heals a little. It's not enough, she knows; not enough to truly fix the hurts that plague the dragon. But it's what she has to offer. ]

[ the dragon lets out a cry, head following ariadne as she rocks back on her heels.

to say aithusa's concern is surprising would be an understatement. for as long as she has known her, the dragon has only shown concern for morgana and morgana alone. a pang of jealousy spreads from her chest and through her limbs. ]

It appears you have.

[boutant]

[ Oh. Ariadne immediately lets one hand go back to the dragon, to stroke the scales on her neck. ]

I'm okay. Just not used to using that much energy in one go.

[ She looks back over to Morgana and adds: ]

But I'll keep doing it, if it helps. It'll end up building my stamina, too.

[scinlae]

[ she is loathed to depend on the aid of another for something morgana herself should be able to do, a proud rage pounds through her veins. can she risk trusting this girl because aithusa seems to becoming fond of her? (she will become a threat, one day she will, she will.)

perhaps morgana can learn something from the girl by allowing her this. ]

If Aithusa has no objections, I suppose you may.

[boutant]

[ She is only learning to play the game, has no real inkling of what Morgana is thinking. Ariadne desires to help, though she doesn't think she'll be doing it alone -- she doesn't have to, as far as she's concerned.

Morgana gets a grateful smile, and she looks back to Aithusa, fingers stroking over scales. ]

[ the dragon lets out a croon, nuzzling ariadne fingers. an obvious approval by anyone's standards. ]

You have your answer.

[boutant]

[ A-aww. Ariadne reaches with her other hand, to keep stroking as Aithusa nuzzles her. ]

Well then. If I can help, I will.

[scinlae]

Very well. [ abruptly morgana turns, fingers busying with another task almost coldly. no desire within her wanting to watch aithusa shower affection upon another. ]

When you are needed, I shall send for you.

[boutant]

[ She can read a hint. Aithusa is given one last stroke, and a murmured promise to return, and then Ariadne stands. ]

Until then.

[scinlae]

[ morgana does not reply, nor watch her when ariadne leaves. she remains standing, so still she could have become stone, until the door clicks closed. ]
