[ it is with deadly purpose that morgana pendragon addresses the network, something she has not done since her arrival. the subject, a white dragon of poor health, lays in view curled upon her bed, watching with queerly blue eyes. ]
Consider this a warning─ [ the dragon lifts its head. ] bring harm to this dragon and you will know suffering beyond all imagining. She is under my protection and I will not allow more harm to befall her.
[ sarrum's treatment still lays fresh in her mind. each hand he lifted against her was done against aithusa also, the dragon doomed to grow in a space far too small for her. the painful cries haunt her dreams as much as the irons that cut into her wrists. men are cruel creatures and the fae has gathered a great many of them to their chests, who is to say that it will not happened again? or worse. ]
I trust I make myself clear.

I hope they help. [ Her gaze flickers over to the dragon, smile fading. ] She doesn't deserve to hurt.

[ She may not be the one to finish it, but Morgana has arrived first and inspired sympathy, gained allies thanks to the plight of Aithusa is nothing else. ]
Can I- is there anything else I can do for her?
no subject
the girl has proven at least one thing, she has uses beyond most who spoke up today. that alone redeems her from the rest, if only a little. ]
Do you have healing magic?
[ it is a pointless question, she does not think ariadne does, though it comes out softer than intended. ]
no subject
Some. And I'm told that the elf who taught me was a great healer in his world.
[ She can believe it, with the little she knows of Elrond, with what he was able to teach her. Her healing magic will never be as strong as her concealment magic, but it's there. ]
no subject
Show me.
[ she takes a dagger from the table and slices open her palm. the cut is not deep, sparing her any permanent damage, just enough to serve her purpose.
blood pooling up and out of the slice she holds it out to ariadne. ]

Stepping forward as quickly as she can, both hands are raised; one takes Morgana's hand, steadying it, and the other goes over the cut. No words are spoken, at least not outloud, and after a moment flesh starts to stitch back together of its own accord.
When it's done, Ariadne rocks back on her heals; some of the blood has returned to Morgana's hand, but most of it is still on her skin. ]
I need more practice, but...

a scream echoes in her ears to pull away as ariadne takes her hand, instinct wanting nothing more than to retreat. it takes much of her will power not to do so, to keep her hand still and allow the girl to heal the cut.
she watches in silence as the flesh begins to knit together and blood to return. and with not a single word utter no less.
once the act is done she pulls her hand free, brushing away the remaining blood with her fingers. her lips twitch into a too sharp smile. ]
Impressive. Your teacher must have had great power.

[ She assumes that his station, tied with what she knows of him as a great healer, means that Elrond is an elf of some power indeed back in his world. ]
But he's gone from this world -- everything past what he taught me initially is something I have to try and learn from the books in the library.

Your magic is indeed impressive, however I am certain you cannot heal bone. At best you may lessen some of her pain, though only temporarily.
no subject
That's something though, right? Until you can find something more permanent.
no subject
for a time morgana is silent, cleaning her hand with absently. ]
You may try.
no subject
Hello, Aithusa. Will you let me try to help you?
no subject
morgana watches, silent, and fights the screaming in her mind. ]

If you don't like it, just nudge me and I'll stop. [ With that out in the open, she concentrates on pushing healing energy into the dragon, on trying to soothe what hurts she can -- bruises, if there are any; cuts that haven't healed. No, she may not be able to heal bone, but if nothing else she hopes it touches the dragon's spirit. ]
no subject
if anything, the young girl has made something of a friend here today. one of scales and fire. ]
no subject
I hope that helped.

to say aithusa's concern is surprising would be an understatement. for as long as she has known her, the dragon has only shown concern for morgana and morgana alone. a pang of jealousy spreads from her chest and through her limbs. ]
It appears you have.
no subject
I'm okay. Just not used to using that much energy in one go.
[ She looks back over to Morgana and adds: ]
But I'll keep doing it, if it helps. It'll end up building my stamina, too.
no subject
perhaps morgana can learn something from the girl by allowing her this. ]
If Aithusa has no objections, I suppose you may.
no subject
Morgana gets a grateful smile, and she looks back to Aithusa, fingers stroking over scales. ]
What do you think?
no subject
You have your answer.
no subject
Well then. If I can help, I will.
no subject
When you are needed, I shall send for you.
no subject
Until then.
