Video | Open to both courts
[Tauriel had spent the better part of a day learning the functions of the locket by watching how others used the device and asking a few questions. So it was with some confidence that she appeared using the video function of it. She is still a little uncertain as to how to address people properly on this... whatever it is.]
I am Tauriel and it has come to my attention through the Lady Galadriel that both my liege and his heir are here as well.
[there is a momentary pause, as she debates if she should inquire for anyone else being here, then decides against it. For now her main concern is for them.]
Therefore, I am looking to speak with either of them. They are King Thranduil and Prince Legolas of the Woodland Realm.
[In the end, and almost impulsively, she adds afterwards:]
If there are others who know of me, I would be glad to speak with you as well.

What happened to him my lord? How badly wounded is he?
[She of course would protect him, and give her life for him, if needs be. the king should know that, and yet he did not. His growing lack of knowledge about her was beginning to trouble her more and more.]

He was attacked and taken hostage by an elf that claims Caer Scima as his home. There was he brutally tortured for no crime save calling the Seelie companions he travelled with his friends, for he would not abandon them in their hour of need.
[ It's as much as he can speak of it, just the cold facts. He may as well be clear about the situation, if she seeks to join him. ]
I renounce all authority of the Seelie and Unseelie alike, and I do so too on behalf of my son. I do not intend to return with him to Caer Glaem, the southern fortress of a king and queen who would sell his skin to advance their own means.
Neither he nor I will be ruled by fools, whether they beg our aid or not.
[ Mirkwood Krew does what it wants. ]

[Currently she was on the road leading to the station, following at the behest of Fëanáro. Since she did not wish to linger in that place any longer. Hearing him speak of abandoning both seelie and unseelie alike made her almost smile. This was the king she knew. Someone who would not bend to the wills of another.]
It gladden my heart to hear it. I seems I am marked as one of the unseelie though I do not wish to be. I would gladly take up my duties besides you once more. That is...
[She stopped then glancing away once more. Then in a far softer voice:]
When I last left your halls, I had earned your disfavor by disobeying you. I hope now to redeem myself.

You do not come from Caer Scima, [ he insists with a firm, level assurance, slotting where she wants to come from above where the Drabwurld has toyed with her to arrive, ] you hail from Mirkwood. That is the only allegiance that matters to me. I do not care about the wars of the these realms that would use Elves as playthings.
[ Hearing he has been disobeyed in some way, whether he recalls it or not, has him silent for a prolonged moment. ]
If you count loyalty toward none but the one you choose to name your lord then I find no fault in your actions, though I know them not. Elvenking you would call me, and I would answer with my protection and patience for such devoted service.

I will most certainly agree to that. My loyalty has never wavered. Only my desire to do good where I could has put me in the wrong. [She hesitates again then decides to tell him why she disobeyed his order.]
I could not let the orcs run freely through our lands chasing after our prisoners. When Legolas came to find me, he said that I should come back, but I refused and encouraged him to come with me so that we might hunt the orc pack down.
[She figures this was enough truth without having to tell her king about the Dwarves. It is still a surprise to not see him enraged over their escape, even if two hundred years had passed.]

The look he gives her is one of near-to fatherly exasperation, holding the bulk of it but leaning his gaze on her pointedly. ]
If you returned in one piece, I can hardly fault you for anything but a lack of discretion in your disobedience.
[ Run, jump, kill orcs, just don't get slain in the process and he won't have to worry unduly. He arches a brow. ]
Kindly heed me here, from now on, if you will.
[ Where he'll actually remember it. ]

I cannot say that for sure as I was taken by the imps before I could return back to the realm. I can say that I will follow you my lord, that is once I am able to reach you.
[But she does not promise to heed him. Not completely, not yet alt least. She needs to be certain that this is her king and no false illusion that is set before her.]

Meet with us at the Station, you should own a map that will point you in the right direction. Neither faction controls the ground there and it is said to be an independent land, though small. I will be there in a matter of days, if not a week.
Tauriel, the elf that maimed my son is named Celegorm. [ A warning for her to stay on her guard. ] Mind him, if he crosses your path, for he is mad with loyalty to the Unseelie.
Re: private »
[She nods, grimacing slightly.] I shall keep his name in mind.

[ Blanching, Thranduil implores her with wide eyes. ]
He is as quick to anger as he is to invention, the father of Celegorm. The Silmarils, Tauriel, the ancient tales of those precious stones — he is their craftsman. Do not swear yourself into his service or call him friend, his words will own a binding strength in the simplest reply. [ Unparalleled in genius in some areas, mad and bloodthirsty as a dog in others. ] Get away from him without arousing his suspicions, for he was the mightiest among the Noldorin princes, a kinslayer, and older than I can reckon.
You are in grave danger while you stand at his side.
Re: private »
I assure you my lord, I have sworn no oaths to him! I only agreed to travel with him because he was leaving Caer Scrima. I fear I cannot easily remove myself from his company. Not when we travel both in the direction of the Station.

[ The only other option besides flight, really. ]
Why does he travel?
Re: private »
[Really she had just sort of sprung at the idea of getting away from where she was. It spoke volumes of how impulsive she could be.]

Re: private »
[Does he really want her to describe humans to him... they're hard enough to make sense of. But she gives it her best effort to briefly describe who all is in their company.]
Our going is slower as the humans need more rest.

I will speak with you again, Tauriel. [ Curious, that one of his own people should be Unseelie. What can it mean? Wary of her as a result, but not overly so; he isn't sure which is worse. ] Be safe, my captain, until then.

I understand now why you are one of my marchwardens.
[ And because he's the king and doesn't bandy needless words, he closes his locket to hang up. ]
