[Tauriel had spent the better part of a day learning the functions of the locket by watching how others used the device and asking a few questions. So it was with some confidence that she appeared using the video function of it. She is still a little uncertain as to how to address people properly on this... whatever it is.]

I am Tauriel and it has come to my attention through the Lady Galadriel that both my liege and his heir are here as well.

[there is a momentary pause, as she debates if she should inquire for anyone else being here, then decides against it. For now her main concern is for them.]

Therefore, I am looking to speak with either of them. They are King Thranduil and Prince Legolas of the Woodland Realm.

[In the end, and almost impulsively, she adds afterwards:]

If there are others who know of me, I would be glad to speak with you as well.

...King Thranduil is absent from Caer Glaem, should that be where you currently find yourself. As is his heir. [ heir. she knows it's a strange word for their situation, but she apes what this unknown elf uses. ]

But doubtless your call will garner you some answer from either of them. Perhaps both.

So it is true.

[Not that she didn't believe lady Galadriel. She trusted the Lady of Light implicitly. But it was good to hear another speak of him as well.]

[ Surprise is what colours the greater part of his tone, for she looks to be Silvan and sounds to be Silvan, she dresses as one of his captains; yet he cannot place her in his memory. He does not make a habit of forgetting the names and families of his guards, especially so young. There could be a dozen Tauriels in the Halls and he would know them all individually, there is no doubt about that.

He makes very likely a strange sight. Mirkwood armour, hair braided thickly over a shoulder and plains all around for as far as the eye can see, scrublands that the golden-maned, horned horse he rides traverses at a steady trot. Rarely did he travel from the Halls in Mirkwood and only then with a war cadre to lend aid to those who needed it or drive out the darkness, currently uncrowned and clearly having been on the road for some time.

The curious tilt of his head softens any frown he wears, watching her in fascination. ]

I do not know your face, Tauriel of Mirkwood, though I feel I could place everything else about you as truly as you state it. How long ere you rose to marchwarden?

[There is delight and relief on her face the second she sees his face. That quickly changes to one of contained panic when she hears that he does not know of her. Surely her king was not so cruel as to claim that he no longer knew her... even if she had defied him.]

[She does not feel any more relieved now, hearing him claim that the fault was his. Was this truly her king then? Or was he some face impostor. He certainly seemed more even tempered than what she recalled.

She wanted to say that it was the first year that he had let orcs cross their borders unimpeded; but that ire seemed misplaced.]

It was the year a company of 13 dwarves passed into our lands and then escaped down to Lake Town.

[She dare not give him an actual date,as it might prove even more disconcerting given that Thranduil could not remember her. She hoped then that the event she described was enough to jog her king's memory.]

[Tauriel tilts her head slightly, trying to place the girl int he whirlwind of events that had happened just before her arrival. She remembers three children being present within the home in Lake Town, but it takes her a few heartbeats longer to truly place the child.]

Yes, from the orcs. Are you alright? How did you come to be here?

Same as you, I guess. [Sigrid isn't actually sure what she should say, here. She never got a good look at the elf Tauriel came in with, so it is Tauriel alone she has cherished in memory as her magical one-time experience with elves. Her hair, the brightness of her eyes, the dance of war and the healing of her hands. I saw an elf-lady once.]

I'm fine. I spoke with the Elvenking yesterday.

[Mind you she is only about 60% sure it actually happened and wasn't in her head.]

I hope you are safe then. Theplace I found myself in is not one I would call overly pleasant. [As she had not seen Sigrid at the feast among the Unseelie, she can only hope the girl was elsewhere.]

I was not aware my King had taken any of the race of man into his services, but I am glad he does not travel alone. this place seems fraught with dangers.

It is not unheard of for my king to form alliances with the race of man. [she nods. It had been the only highlight in finding out she had been kidnapped.] I was lucky that my weapons were brought here with me. Why do you ask?

[Tauriel is just now learning to be terrified of their party, so she is more on edge than before. Alice speaking to her causes her to start, but she quickly settles upon realizing it was the girl who was speaking.]

In a way. King Thranduil raised me as a ward of his and Legolas grew up as an older brother to me.

It is located in Mirkwood, In Middle Earth and I am guessing, far, far from here.
