Voice; Unseelie locked

[Xion's voice is very quiet and hesitant, often starting and stopping as if figuring out how to best choose her words. The voice of someone who's still trying to stay as small and unnoticeable as possible, but has something she needs to ask.]

Back home, I used to be able to make my weapon disappear, and call it back when I needed it. Here... I can't. I've tried. I've still got it, but... I can't keep carrying it around, can I?

I've seen... other people have things to carry their weapons. Is there any way to... to get or make one, for mine?

[She makes a small noise, almost like she wants to say something else, but then cuts herself - and the message - off.]

Well then! If the armoury has naught that may serve you, I will fashion a scabbard for you.

I? No, I've yet to venture into many parts of our new home.

[There's the small matter of the ongoing feast, after all.]

Well, that's a problem easily fixed. There are belts at plenty—for the best, too, so we're not all losing our trousers.

[ ... ]

How big is this blade?

[ and the unvoiced question: how big are you? ]

Um...

[There's the sound of shuffling, as Xion stands up, compares the size of her Keyblade to herself.]

Not... quite half as big as I am. Maybe a third?

[Xion hesitates, but... it's a briefer of a hesitation than she might've given on the day she arrived.]

It's shaped like a key. [Most weapons I've seen are a lot more long and thin.

[Swords, spears, daggers, that sort of thing. Of the ones she's seen, at least.]

Ah.

[ And people say the vorpal blade is weird. ]

You will not know until you at least try.

You know how to do that?

[It seems a bit of a foolish question, since she's already said she could for a much smaller weapon. Though she also wonders if her weapon's particular... shape will cause any confusion.

Truthfully the question is half out of curiosity though. And her voice certainly isn't skeptical or disapproving.]

[ okay hold on ]

And how big are you?

[ she sounds like she's smiling. she's definitely smiling. ]

... huh.

[That's all, at first. A quiet noise of surprise, before it lapses into a brief silence. It doesn't take long for Yuri to speak up again, however. His tone remains conversational.]

Sorry, then. It sounds like you've had some trouble before you came here.

I can look too [...] But it would help.

Someone else said there might be somewhere next to the castle.

[It's where she's going to start.]

Yeah, I guess not. [She smiles a little, though it can't be seen]

Thanks for your help, though.

Yeah...

[She's not gonna argue there. Running into the Heartless and having your heart stolen definitely would count as "trouble," she's sure.]

I don't really remember what happened though, so I guess... it's not important now.

[And the Organization was going to help her get it back.]

Yeah. It's not like you could do anything here about it.

[The war, trying to get back home-- all of that took precedence. But he doesn't express those thoughts.]

But who knows? Maybe it'll come back to you in time.

I've never measured myself before...

[There's a few moment's silence as she sort of... looks herself up and down. Makes some guesstimates.]

I think around five feet?

I do! I am handy with a needle and thread. Would you like to learn how to sew? We can fashion this scabbard together, if you like.

( She offers because she wouldn't mind spending more time with this girl, but it will also afford her to be specific about the size and shape of the scabbard. )

You're very welcome; you should find something for your blade, regardless of the size or make of it.

[ oh hey, he recognizes this voice. ]

You use a-? [ uh. ] ...What kinda weapon are you talkin' about?

Yeah, or maybe...

[Maybe it'll come back when her heart does. It's definitely an idea that's occurred to her. But that isn't something she's ready to talk about yet.]

Never mind. I'll be okay, until whenever it comes back.

I'd like to learn.

[That much she can say for sure, at least.]

I'm not sure if I'd be good enough for this, though.

[By all accounts it sounds like it'd be a much more unusual job than normal.]

I-It's called a Keyblade.

[Even back home it's pretty special, so she isn't surprised if he hasn't heard of it.]

What manner of weapon is it you need a sheath for?

[She hesitates.]

[She's gotten mixed reactions, so she's not sure what to expect.]

[Her being unable to remember her past, though, is definitely something that's made him curious. He's not going to ask about it--not when they're just beginning to know each other--but he might in the future. For now, though:]

Anyway, it seems like magic from home doesn't carry over to this world. That might be the reason why you can't make your key disappear.

( In this world, sewing is a practical skill to have for many reasons. )

( Does she think so little of herself? Elizabeth waits, concerned. )

I did hear about that.

It's strange... it's not really any different otherwise.

[That's not exactly true, but then again Xion isn't really fully aware of all that the Keyblade is truly capable of. As far as she knows though, there isn't anything different.]
