[He swallows hard, remembering his three hundred year hiatus.]

There's no telling how long it'll be on her side. It could be a day, it could be twenty years, I don't know. So just ... make sure to give her some support when she wakes up, okay? Trust me. She's gonna need it.

And yeah. I came here about four months ago based on this timeline. Was somewhere between thirty or thirty five at that time, give or take a few years. Then I went away for a ... long while back in my world. But when I came back, only a week had passed so the timelines are a little complicated.

[Sorry, he just had to repeat that. And if he looks a little dubious, he also knows that people can be older than they look. But also how people can be a little something else, especially here.]

Just how old are you?

[He finally has to laugh at that, because it's not exactly a number most people would think of when they saw him, so he's not exactly surprised.]

It gets hard to keep count of the exact number, but about 300? Not hard to reach that age when you're a spirit.

Like a ghost?

[And it seems a little rude to come right out and say it, but he doesn't know any other way.]

Not really a ghost. [No offense taken. It took him forever to realize what he was anyway.]

Just a winter spirit or, as of recently, a Guardian. I help bring the snow around and I kind of have a duty to help kids out if they're ever in trouble.

Sounds like a pretty important mission. You took it on yourself?

Nah, there's a group of us, a group of Guardians. They protect different things for the kids like their hopes and dreams. Their memories. That kind of thing. I'm kind of the new recruit actually.
