Imps.
[ it's a singular word accompanied by the image of a very unamused and unimpressed older face with eyebrows that even if you couldn't see his mouth might actually show off his displeasure all by themselves. it's clear that he thinks this entire thing is stupid and arguably not real, but then again, robin hood shouldn't be real and he certainly did run into him. ]
There's a planet or two like this. Populated only with small, very— annoying bug creatures. I hate those planets. [ see also: i hate here. ] Try to avoid them unless someone wants to go see them.
[ that's not actually the commentary he means to make about here, but he can't entirely resist it. he clears throat. ] Of all the versions of me to drag here you choose me. Have to wonder if there's something a bit off in your heads. Then again, there's imps and fairies around and involved. Maybe I shouldn't be surprised if there's something off.
[ he sighs. ] If you can take a moment away from whatever it is you're doing right now. I know it's important to you— but this is a bit important to me and it'll take a minute. And it won't kill you to take that minute to listen since you already are. [ he also doesn't entirely care what everyone else is doing right now, but manners, achieving the goal of actually getting someone to pay attention. ] I'm missing a person. My ca— Clara. Her name's Clara, about— [ he motions somewhere south of his shoulder that is a horrible approximation of her actual height. ] that high, wide face. Bossy little thing. Tell her the Doctor's looking for her and that I need to see her even if she doesn't want to see me. I need to make sure she's in one piece if she's here.

[And she snaps and she feels like she's back on the TARDIS after the moon. Her head swims and there are tears prickling at her eyes. For a moment, it's like all the progress she'd made in her head, all the examinations and attempts to reconcile it vanish and all she can feel is righteous anger masking her wounds and doubts. Then as it slowly ebbs away, her rational side takes over and she exhales.
When she speaks again, her voice is quiet to mask everything that bubbles under the surface.]
Southwood Ring then.

[ He wants to go on— he wants to defend himself because he had been trying to respect her but she's the one who didn't react in the right way. She's human, he doesn't know what he expected but she's also Clara. She was supposed to realize what he was doing. The urge to defend himself goes away as quickly as it comes on though, because he realizes this is neither the time nor the place. If they're going to have this discussion it'll be in person and not over lockets.
He doesn't like her voice being quiet but he doesn't say so. Instead he lowers his own voice and makes it clipped. ]
I'll see you then. Don't bring along the friends.

[No, she won't get into it now. Maybe he doesn't even know what she's talking about. Maybe he does but he'd rather not address it. Either way, she needs to see his face when he talks about it.]
I won't. See you soon.
