An announcement I should have made a while ago.

I'm vampir. If you're ab-dead, undead, living dead, whatever the fuck, I will offer you at least my ear and the benefit of my doubt, particularly if you are young, hungry, or newly-arrived. This is hardly rational of me; just an old man's old habit. Take advantage, if you will, of my extended patience, but don't weigh too hard on it.

I'd also add my voice to that of the Lady Grell, and reiterate the point she made during the Samhain festivities, given that the old god-dog has requested our service. Don't fuck with the Black Shuck. He comes to all of us in time. You will have ample time to regret being disrespectful towards him.

[He sighs, kicks back, presses his fingers to the bridge of his nose.] Finally, I need information on the Sisterhood of Nymphs and I don't have time to squint at the scribblings of ancient scholars and other lunatics. The Pyrii, specifically.

Why the interest, if I may ask?

I have some business with them. Rude, I think, to try to conduct it without the barest thought to understanding their ways.

I'd almost almost hope it was urgent. Unless there was something arranged--and even then--it seems you picked the most volatile of them, if you're not just making a social call.

He's been spending his nights digging recently, focusing on the hard physical work of shifting what bones he can and thinking over his plans. It's probably worrying that opening graves feels like a pleasant relief, but he'll take his relaxation where he can find it.]

Of course she is. Well, the place has my loyalty, you know that. It's not unconditional, but for now it remains.

Sooner rather than later. My future plans are uncertain and I could do with some exercise that isn't digging up the dead. It's so terribly fucking morbid.

Have you finished your task for Tzilan, or is this new hunt for information somehow an extension of that?

[She doesn't really miss a beat with her reply, and there is mild amusement threaded in her tone, almost like she's used to such answers.]

The Sisterhood, as a whole, are officially neutral in this war, but they may show favour to individuals of either side. They're also more likely you to find you than you are them, really; many of their homes are hidden and have been since time immemorial. It helps if you have a previous arrangement, otherwise it could be that they migt not appreciate you there, or ignore you entirely. However, they could just as easily welcome you very warmly. Er, you get the picture.

[that's ironic.]

Mmm. [He smiles, a little ruefully, and distinctly close-lipped.] This is a task born out of my own personal interests. I'm moving on from playing the sellsword.

[His eyes flash with faint amusement, brows raising, at the swiftness of her reply, but it's fleeting.]

You might not have much choice. You can visit and look for them in their domains, certainly, but it's up to them if they want to reveal themselves to you, so looking might not get you much. Dryads live in their trees, sylphs can very easily become the wind, etcetera. They're aware of those who enter their territories, but whether or not they'll meet you in a more interactive form is another matter.

[Flora presses a finger to her lips, thoughtfully.]

That much I don't think I actually know offhand, I'm sorry. It would take a bit of research. Or a lot. There may be one known way to gain their favour, there might not be. Or it could change. There's no telling, yet. It might help to know someone who knows the Pyriis...or perhaps even any of the Sisterhood.
