third snowball ❅ video (open to both courts)
[The sight that is revealed in the locket first appears to be a stranger, a seemingly unfamiliar brunette appearing within it. But there soon enough comes a large smile, one that's most definitely been seen by some around the Drabwurld, a signature grin that would normally belong to a certain mischievous winter spirit.
Except now, the spirit isn't a spirit at all, or he doesn't seem to be. Because sparkling blue eyes have now transformed into a simple chestnut color and pale skin has become naturally colored flesh. What once was a notable ice spirit has somehow become a human.]
So I decided to try a little makeover—you know—do the whole dull color trend, blend in with the scenery, that kind of thing.
[What he tries to portray as disinterest is easily betrayed by his widening smile, obviously revealing just how excited he is about this.]
What do you think? Does it suit me at all?
( ooc: his icons will still have his white hair, but he'll still be in his human form throughout comments / the change comes from his boon, a necklace that allows him to change into a human when he wears it )

Farm boy, huh? I guess the crook doesn't help too much with that. Downside is that I can't go full mischievous like this. Making snowballs on the fly has its advantages.

[It's a relief for Kieren too, to have someone who gets it. There's times he misses food and getting drunk; he misses feeling the cold and the heat. ]

[He does begin to consider a thought and wonders if he should bring it up before giving a shrug.]

[The last few words come out in a breathless sort of way. But - and there's always a but - there are a lot of things to consider. Too many complications, too many things. ]
It's complicated, Jack. It's just really complicated and messy.
[He heaves out a mirthless laugh, looking down. ] But it took me a long time to be okay with what I am. I don't know if asking Morla would be going backwards.

I thought something like this was what I really wanted. But—well, a friend of mine got really scared when he saw me change. He said he was afraid if I permanently shifted, I might lose the things that made me who I am as a spirit, the little things that did get me to smile, I guess.
[Which he tries to do now, attempting to offer a comforting one.]
So in a way, you're right. It might be going backwards. We're different, but it's still us, so we might as well embrace it.

I had a friend who told me we were special, because of what we are.
[He pauses and then hastily switches to private. ]
I don't thinks she was right, I think we're just as equal as everyone else. But she helped me come to terms with myself. I wouldn't change that.

Well, I half agree with you. I still think we're special. [He chuckles a bit with a shrug.] It's just that everyone's got something special about them, so that does make us all kind of equal in that sense.
